I remember learning that in my audio class as well. Blew my mind. The studio I interned at would actually use the speaker cone of an NS10 speaker and use it as a sub mic for kick drums.

-random guy on a bike: 7/10 actually didn’t make things weird, was really nice, didn’t get all weird and offended when i said i was seeing someone, told me to have a nice day
-weird guy who was sitting on the curb with his friends. 3/10 very obviously in his 40s at the very least but said he was 28. the 3 is bc he sang me a beatles song for some reason
-guy 3. forgettable??? wasn’t special or anything, not really nice or creepy, just See More a guy. asked me to do coffee w him
-random dude omw back from walgreens: 6/10 started it off w a super awkward pickup line, told me i looked like a foreigner. for some reason i told him i was dutch. spouted a bunch of random dutch sentences and said it was a poem. he bought every word of it
-friend’s bandmate: ive been aware of their music for like a year and they’re so talented but we’ve been talking recently, went out once, and it’s been great. 100/10 they’re sweet, literally the only concern i have is potentially making them uncomfortable if i move too fast. they still seem veryyy nervous about this whole thing and they’re very much the kind of person to just suffer through things even if they don’t want to because they don’t want to upset people but i just want them to be okay

some Updates:
-got a fan so my room is no longer an oven
-found a brand new pair of doc marten platforms that i’ve been wanting for AGES on sale for 50 dollars less than the usual price
-chicago is amazing so far, i missed being able to walk everywhere
-things are going well w the person i’m into. they said they want to hang again when i can which is super cool (they literally texted me as i was typing this)
-i started two brand new songs today and one isn’t depressing but See More the other is probably one of the saddest things i’ve written
-ive been listening to TONS of diane cluck lately and the music i’ve been writing reflects that heavily
-currently not too happy w my college bc i am being fined over 400 dollars for damages to a shared apartment that i lived in for not even a full semester before leaving because three of my roommates were sloppy and sort of awful people. gonna appeal that bc there’s no way i’m paying for the actions of other people
-my mom got in a car accident, she got a concussion but she’s fine. car’s totaled tho rip
