• What are the versions of Qfeast?

  There are two versions of Qfeast

  • Desktop/Tablet
    • Automatically loaded if you are using a desktop, laptop, notebook or tablet
    • On this version you can have full access to all features of Qfeast
    • It is optimized for big resolution screens
  • Mobile
    • Automatically loaded if you are using a smartphone
    • This version is optimized for low bandwidth, small RAM (memory) size and small resolution screens
    • Several features of Qfeast are not available on this version, mainly due to limitations of screen resolution and device memory. e.g. creating quizzes, stories, questions, polls, pages, chat

  It is not recommended to switch to a version that differs from the automatically loaded one, due to the fact that some features might not work correctly

• How do I switch to Desktop/Tablet version of Qfeast?

  You can easily switch to Desktop/Tablet version by clicking the Switch to Desktop / Tablet Site link placed on the footer of every page on Qfeast. Due to the fact that many pages have infinite scroll (when you scroll, it loads more when you reach the bottom), the footer might be not easily accessible. But there are several pages without infinite scroll, feature like this page ("FAQ").

• What is the meaning of the purple dot, below the Qfeast's logo?

  The purple dot will be displayed when a new quiz, story, question, poll or page is published on the Qfeast main page. It will go away once you visit the Qfeast main page (click the logo)

• How do I contact Qfeast Team? What is the official Qfeast Team account?

  Qfeast is the official account of Qfeast's administrators. To get in contact with it, please send a message to qfeast username from the [Conversations].

• Where do I report a broken feature (bug)?

  While reporting a broken feature (bug) always remember to add as many details as possible about it: describe the issue, list the steps to reproduce it

  There are several options:

  • Write a new post on Qfeast Questions & Answers page
  • Send a message to Qfeast's Team account. Use this when you need to report issues that require transmitting some private data about your account
  • For the new features announced via posts on the Qfeast News page, a simple reply comment does the job

• Where can I post my suggestions for Qfeast?

  There are several options:

  • Write a new post on Qfeast Questions & Answers page. Before this, please check on this page if your suggestion or a similar one hasn't been posted and already by someone else
  • Send your suggestions as a message to Qfeast's Team account

  Thank you in advance for sharing your ideas!

• What should I do when someone is bullying me?

  There are several options:

  • In case that he/she is commenting your quiz, story, question, poll, page, profile or photo you can simply delete the comments. Just click the small option arrow on the upper right corner of the comment, and select "Delete"
  • You can disable comments for your quizzes, stories and polls
  • You can restrict users to post on your profile. Just go to [Settings] then click the [Profile Post] and set "Who can post on your Wall and comment your photos?" accordingly.
  • You can block that person from commenting/posting anymore on your items and profile. Just go to [Settings] then click the [Blocked Users] and add him/her to you blocked user list
  • You can report him/her. Just click the small option arrow on the upper right corner of the offensive comment, or go to him/her profile and click “Report"

• What happens if I report someone?

  Each report will be carefully analyzed by a Qfeast administrator, and depending on the severity, some actions will be taken, depending on several factors like: severity, recent history of the account:

  • Delete the offending content
  • Warn the user
  • Mute for a specific period of time the user
  • Block for a specific period of time the user
  • Delete the user account
  • Block the user IP, so he will not be able to reach Qfeast anymore
  • Ignore the report. If the report do not contain sufficient information or is not valid, it can be ignored (or deleted)

• How to become Qfeast famous?

  There is no perfect guide or easy solution to achieve this, so prepare yourself for a lot of hard work. Tips and tricks:

  • Impress! Be active, positive, fresh and unique! Studies show that people are much more likely to share or like content that arouses a strong emotional reaction in them
  • Write high quality quizzes and stories
  • Ask questions intelligently. Double check that your questions haven't been asked already
  • Create nice, unique and smart polls
  • Create interesting pages. Post viral content on your pages. Be very active on your pages. The more subscribers a page that you have created has, the more popular you will be. Observe your audience reactions and ask for feedback.
  • Provide feedback comments for quizzes, stories, answers, polls, posts, photos created by other users
  • Be helpful while answering existing questions, ensure that your answer really adds value
  • Share your items with your friends on other social networking websites. Tell your friends about your Qfeast account
  • Rate / add to your favorites quizzes and stories that you've enjoyed. Similarly, add to your star list question, polls and photos. The author will be notified and most likely will appreciate
  • Improve your profile. Add the best photo shot by your digital camera. Be very active and creative on your Wall. Update your info on [Basic Information]. Post viral content on your wall
  • The more active and supportative you are, the more people will visit you and give you feedback. Reply the comments addressed to you.
  • Be polite, respect others opinions and never offend someone
  • Keep an eye for your follower counters. Observe how many agree/disagree votes you receive while posting. Stay alert when it suddently decreases, this might be a sign that you are doing something wrong
  • Don’t be spammy. Avoing complaining too often. Don't start or participate in any drama. These will make people take you out of their feed fast!

• Can I add mature content (photos, texts) to my profile, quizzes, stories etc?

  Absolutely not. This is not allowed on Qfeast and, doing so, you might get your account terminated

• Can I upload videos to Qfeast?

  You cannot upload videos directly. But you can post links to YouTube videos on walls or pages, and the video player will be embedded below the post, letting other user to play the video directly from Qfeast

• Can I upload a GIF to Qfeast?

  You cannot upload GIFs animations for the moment

• Can I change fonts and add colors, bold, or italics in Qfeast?

  You cannot change fonts and add colors, bold, or italics, mainly due to the fact those might affect readability and confuse users when using certain color schemes (like blue for links, bold for usernames)

• Can I private chat with a group of users on Qfeast?

  You cannot private chat with a group of users for the moment. But you can talk with the members and creator of a "Page" using the Talk feature of the respective page (that is a very similar with a group chat)

• Can I use more than one personal Qfeast account?

  You are not allowed to use more than one Qfeast account for yourself. The duplicated accounts belonging to same persons might be deleted anytime, without prior notice

• Is Qfeast account a boy or a girl?

  Qfeast is the official account of Qfeast's administrators, is a team, so is not just a single person

• Can Qfeast remove certain ad types like dating, lose weight, etc.?

  The ads are entirely selected and provided by Google and Qfeast has very limited control on this. In order to select the ads that are going to be displayed, Google runs complex algorithms which take into considerations lots of factors like (not limited to):

  • Visitor location like: IP, Country, City
  • Ad cost, availability, size
  • Browser history like: queries have you searched lately on Google, websites and pages have you visited before
  • Owned Google profile, if signed in
  • Current Qfeast page topic
  • Previous clicked ads
  • Device type

• Account

• how do I go to my profile (wall) on Qfeast?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click the [ME] placed on header of the website.
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Me] menu item.

• How can I upload a photo?

  Go to your [Wall], select the [Upload Photos] tab then press the browse button

• How can I change my profile picture?

  Go to your [Wall], then click the [Photos]. Here, open any of your photos, then click the Set as Profile Photo (top-right of the screen). This button will be displayed only if the current photo is not already the profile photo

• Why can't I upload photos anymore on my Wall?

  There is a weekly limit on the number of photos that can be uploaded on your Wall, and probably you have hit it. Please retry uploading photos on the next days. Or, you can just delete some recently uploaded photos then simply retry

• How can I change my username?

  Go to [Settings] then click the [Username].

  Here you can change the username, after verifying your current password.

• I'am receiving so many news feed items. Why?

  In general, the more people you follow, the more news feed items about them you will receive in your news feed. So, cleaning your following list might decrease the number of daily news feed items received by you. You can unfollow people directly from your [News Feed] or, by going to your [Wall], then clicking the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click the [Following]

  More, you can filter out some types of news feed items by going to [Settings] then clicking the [News Feed]

• I'am receiving so many notifications. Why?

  In general, the more active your are on Qfeast (like creating stuff, posting, commenting, subscribing, following other users), the more notifications you will get from people that access your items
  You can control when and how often Qfeast sends notifications and emails to you, by going to [Settings] then clicking the [Notifications]

  Please note that when you create new stuff (e.g. quizzes, stories, questions, polls, posting, uploading photos), you will be automatically subscribed to receive comment updates via notifications. In order to unsubscribe from receiving comment updates, just press the "Unsubscribe" button, usually placed below items

• Why whenever my username gets mentioned in a post/comment, I don't get a notification?

  You will receive "mentioned" notifications only after you will participate to that discussion (you've started it or once you've commented it)

  For instance, you will not receive notifications if some user will mention you in a random quiz comments section, somewhere you have not commented yet (this is spam protection). But, if you will add a comment to that quiz, you will be able receive "mentioned" notifications from now on

• Can I use "qfeast" inside my nickname?

  You are not allowed to use the "qfeast" word or any close variation inside your nickname in order to avoid confusing other users (of using the official “Qfeast�? team account)

• How do I embed links or videos on my posts?

  Write or copy / paste the link on the post textarea on your Wall or a "page". A details section of the video (preview) will be automatically displayed below, which will allow you can customize the appearance of the post. Then, click the "Post" button, as usual.
  Please note that:

  • Embedding links is possible only while writing new posts on walls and "pages" (not comments or inside quizzes, stories and so on)
  • Only YouTube videos are currently recognizes (playable)
  • Only the first link of a post is previewable

• I haven't received my confirmation email. Why?

  Search also on the Spam or Junk folders of your email. Many email clients move the new emails in such folders, even if are secure or requested by the users

  The best chance to find the activation mail is to check within all email folders

  You can encounter delays in receiving emails to/from some clients sometimes, so please wait few minutes

• How can resend my confirmation email?

  Go to [Settings] then click the [Email Address]. Here, press the "Resend" button (this will be disabled if your account is already activated). By pressing the "Resend" button a new confirmation email will be sent to your email address.
  Please double check that the entered email address is correct before resending the confirmation email.

• How can I change my email address?

  Go to [Settings] then click the [Email Address]. Here you change you email address, after verifying your current password
  Once the email address has been changed, a new confirmation email, containing some activation link, will be sent to that address. Open the confirmation email, and please click on the link in order to (re)confirm your email address.

• Can I disable receiving notifications about page inactivity?

  You cannot disable those kind of notifications notifications. Those are intended to remind users to regullary update their pages

• How can I delete my Qfeast account?

  Sorry to see you go!

  This feature is available only on the Desktop/Tablet version of Qfeast

  Go to [Settings], click [MORE +], then click the [Delete Account]. Here you can request account deletion, after verifying your current password. Please note that the actual deletion of the account will be performed only after 21 days. In this period of time you will be able to sign in, but many features of Qfeast will be not accessible unlease you cancel the account deletion.

• Quizzes

• How do I create a quiz?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click or hover the [Create] link on the header (on the same line with the Qfeast logo) then, after the create options will be displayed, press [Create Quiz]
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Create Quiz] menu item

• How do I find, edit, unpublish or delete my quiz?

  Click the [Created Quizzes] from your Wall. There are two situations:

  • If the quiz is published:
    Check the published quiz list section (below the "X has published y quizzes"). Click on the quiz so it will take you to the quiz taker page. In order to edit, unpublish or delete the quiz just click the corresponding action on the top of the page, above the quiz title.
  • If the quiz is not published (draft):
    Check the draft quiz list section (below the "You have x draft quizzes").
    In order to edit or delete a quiz, just click the corresponding action.

• Why the responses and comments are deleted whenever I am updating my personality quiz?

  In case that you modify crucial information of the personality quiz, the responses become incompatible and these, plus the comments, need to be deleted (so a quiz reset will be performed). Please find below which actions might trigger a personality quiz reset:

  • Adding or deleting questions
  • Adding or deleting choices
  • When you change the active mode. There are two possible modes: Normal Mode and Accurate/Expert Mode
  • Selecting another personality for a choice, when the Normal Mode is active
  • Changing the number of points assigned to a personality, when the Accurate/Expert Mode is active

  Other simple text corrections will not trigger a quiz reset, even if the logic of the quiz / questions might be changed

• Why the responses and comments are deleted whenever I am updating my scored quiz?

  In case that you modify crucial information of the scored quiz, the responses become incompatible and these, plus the comments, need to be deleted (so a quiz reset will be performed). Please find below which actions might trigger a scored quiz reset:

  • Adding or deleting questions
  • Adding or deleting choices
  • Changing the passing mark
  • Selecting another correct choice for a Single-Answer Question
  • Selecting another correct choice(s) for a Multiple-Answer Question
  • Changing the correct answer for a Text-Entry Question

  Other simple text corrections will not trigger a quiz reset, even if the logic of the quiz / questions might be different

• Why my quiz has been marked as "profile"?

  The Qfeast administrators or the Qfeast engine can decide to mark as profile' (e.g. remove from main page and public categories, available only from wall) any quiz that is considered (not limited to):

  • too personal
    • Would I date/ love you?
    • How well do you know me/ my friend/ my brother/ my sister?
  • having low quality content (text or images)
    • Am I bored?
    • Should I write a story?
    • Should I delete my account?
  • childish, stuff for small children (< 13 years)
    • Sonic
    • Spongebob
  • promoting/ advertising websites, accounts or various items

• Why my quiz has been deleted?

  The Qfeast administrators can decide to delete any quiz that is considered (not limited to):

  • having invalid content
  • containing mature content
  • containing threatening or offensive content
  • as being (partially or fully) copied from other sources without permissions
  • not meeting the quality standards of Qfeast

• Stories

• How do I write a story?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click or hover the [Create] link on the header (on the same line with the Qfeast logo) then, after the create options will be displayed, press [Write Story]
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Write Story] menu item

• How do I find, edit, unpublish, delete my story? Or how do I add a chapter to my story?

  Click the [Created Stories] from your Wall. There are two situations:

  • If the story is published:
    Check the published story list section (below the "X has published y stories"). Click on the story so it will take you to the story taker page. In order to edit (including adding a new chapter), or , unpublish or delete the story just click the corresponding action on the top of the page, above the story title.
  • If the story is not published (draft):
    Check the draft story list section (below the "You have x draft stories").
    In order to edit or delete a story, just click the corresponding action.

• What is the difference between readers and reads on a story?

  A reader is a person (a user that reads one or several chapters of a story)

  A read is counted as a single "read" action of a story chapter

  For example, if a story has 8 chapters and a user will read 6 of them, then the story reader counter will be increased with 1 and the story reads counter will be increased with 6.
  In order to consider a story reader / story chapter read as valid, a certain amount of time must pass since the last read of the respective story chapter, so simply refreshing a chapter page will not necessarily means a chapter read

• Why my story has been marked as "profile"?

  The Qfeast administrators or the Qfeast engine can decide to mark as profile' (e.g. remove from main page and public categories, available only from wall) any story that is considered (not limited to):

  • too personal
    • My family
    • My lovely pets
    • My friend list
  • containing information widely available
    • About Canada (generic info, already available on many other websites like Wikipedia)
  • having low quality content (text or images). These might be deleted also
  • childish, stuff for small children (< 13 years)
    • Sonic
    • Spongebob
  • promoting/ advertising websites, accounts or various items
    • 100 of my favorite qfeasters/ pages/ websites - story

• Why my story has been deleted?

  The Qfeast administrators can decide to delete any story that is considered (not limited to):

  • having invalid content
  • containing mature content
  • containing threatening or offensive content
  • as being (partially or fully) copied from other sources without permissions
  • not meeting the quality standards of Qfeast

• Questions

• How do I ask a question?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click or hover the [Create] link on the header (on the same line with the Qfeast logo) then, after the create options will be displayed, press [Ask Question]
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Ask Question] menu item

• How do I find, edit, unpublish, delete my question?

  Click the [Created Questions] from your Wall. There are two situations:

  • If the question is published:
    Check the published question list section (below the "X has asked y questions"). Click on the question so it will take you to the question answerer page. In order to edit, unpublish or delete the question just click the corresponding action on the top of the page, above the question title.
  • If the question is not published (draft):
    Check the draft question list section (below the "You have x draft questions").
    In order to edit or delete a question, just click the corresponding action.

• Why my question has been marked as "profile" or transformed to a post?

  The Qfeast administrators or the Qfeast engine can decide to mark as profile' or transform to a Wall post any questions that is considered (not limited to):

  • too personal

  The Qfeast administrators can decide to delete any question that is considered (not limited to):

  • having invalid content
  • containing mature content
  • containing threatening or offensive content
  • as being (partially or fully) copied from other sources without permissions
  • not meeting the quality standards of Qfeast
  • as being identical or very similar to an existing one

• Polls

• How do I create a poll?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click or hover the [Create] link on the header (on the same line with the Qfeast logo) then, after the create options will be displayed, press [Create Poll]
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Create Poll] menu item

• How do I find, edit, unpublish, delete my poll?

  Click the [Created Polls] from your Wall. There are two situations:

  • If the poll is published:
    Check the published poll list section (below the "X has published y polls"). Click on the poll so it will take you to the poll voter page. In order to edit, unpublish or delete the poll just click the corresponding action on the top of the page, above the poll title.
  • If the poll is not published (draft):
    Check the draft poll list section (below the "You have x draft polls").
    In order to edit or delete a poll, just click the corresponding action.

• Why the votes and comments are deleted whenever I am updating my poll?

  In case that you modify crucial information of the poll the poll choice vote count becomes incompatible and these, plus the comments, need to be deleted (so a poll reset will be performed). Please find below which actions might trigger a personality poll reset:

  • Adding or deleting choices

  Simple text corrections will not trigger a poll reset, even if the logic of the poll might be changed

• Why my poll has been marked as "profile" or transformed to a post?

  The Qfeast administrators or the Qfeast engine can decide to mark as profile' (e.g. remove from main page and public categories, available only from wall) or transform to a Wall post any poll that is considered (not limited to):

  • too personal

• Pages

• How do I create a page?

  • Using the Desktop/Tablet version, you just need to click or hover the [Create] link on the header (on the same line with the Qfeast logo) then, after the create options will be displayed, press [Create Page]
  • Using the Mobile version, you just need to open the main menu, by pressing the top-left button (three horizontal lines), then click the [Create Page] menu item

• How do I find, edit, unpublish, delete my page?

  Click the [Created Pages] from your Wall. There are two situations:

  • If the page is published:
    Check the published page list section (below the "X has published y pages"). Click on the page to open it. In order to edit, unpublish or delete the page just click the corresponding action on the top of the page, above the page title.
  • If the page is not published (draft):
    Check the draft page list section (below the "You have x draft pages").
    In order to edit or delete a page, just click the corresponding action.

• Can a user be both subscriber and member of a page?

  No

• What is the difference between a page creator, a member and a subscriber?

  Page Creator:

  • Can write posts and upload images on the respective page all the time, even if the page is not "Fully opened"
  • Receives in [News Feed] updates about the new posts and images uploaded on the respective page
  • Can accept, edit permissions for, or delete page members
  • Can use the "Page Talk" to communicate with the page members
  • Can delete any posts or image
  • Can change the writing properties (like turn on "Fully Opened") and design of the page
  • Can edit, unpublish, delete the page

  Page Member:

  • Can write posts and upload images on the respective page all the time, even if the page is not "Fully opened"
  • Receives in [News Feed] updates about the new posts and images uploaded on the respective page
  • Can accept another page members, if the page creator granded this permission
  • Can use the "Page Talk" to communicate with the page creator and other members
  • Can delete non-member and non-creator posts and images

  Page Subscriber:

  • Can write posts and upload images, only if the respective page is "Fully Opened"
  • Receives in [News Feed] updates about the new posts and images uploaded on the respective page

  Regular Users (none of the above types):

  • Can write posts and upload images only if the respective page is "Fully Opened"

• Why my page has been marked as "profile" or transformed to a post?

  The Qfeast administrators or the Qfeast engine can decide to mark as profile' (e.g. remove from main page and public categories, available only from wall) or transform to a Wall post any page that is considered (not limited to):

  • too personal
    • My Family/ Friends/ Fallowers/ Collegues
  • not a real / valid topic
    • Please read my story

• Why my page has been deleted?

  • The Qfeast administrators can decide to delete any question that is considered (not limited to):
    • having invalid content
    • containing mature content
    • containing threatening or offensive content
    • not meeting the quality standards of Qfeast
    • as being identical or very similar to an existing one
  • The pages that perform poorly (meaning no new posts have been written or nobody subscribed in weeks) are considered dead, and might be automatically purged from time to time. It is highly recommended to update your pages on a regular basis, to keep the subscribers engaged and very well informed.
