When I woke up

Intro - I have found it more enjoyable writing fiction than writing about real life, so I've decided to turn this into a fiction story. Enjoy!

Mimi's Diary
When I woke up, Meggi was crying, and there was a strange lady standing beside her.
"Hello, dear. Did you have a fall?" She asked, helping me up.
"Yes. My dad has just popped out to the corner shops. I'll phone him now." I said quickly, lying through my teeth. He wasn't at the shop. He was at the pub. But I didn't want her phoning up the social.
Me and Meggi practically shooed her out of the building. The strange lady had no idea there was a baby Lauren in the bedroom, which was a good thing. She would have stayed if she knew.
I flopped into bed with a sigh. That was just too close. That was it. Me, the baby and Meggi were going to have to run away.
