dear dan howell,
you don't know i exist and you'll never see this, but it's important to say it. i need to try to somehow put my emotions into words.
obviously i haven't been in the phandom for long, but you and phil mean more to me than anything. you're pretty much all i ever talk about, and my friends are sick of me going on about you the whole time, but i don't really care, because you mean more to me than anything and i need to show that affection. i pretty much love you and phil equally, but i feel like i can relate more to you. we're both extremely sarcastic, very antisocial and awkward, care too much about bands and anime, we have quite a few similar interests and we both kind of fail at stuff in life. but you're so much more than i could ever dream of being.
you've made this world a better place by just existing. do you even have any idea how many people you make smile every day? you have a gift. it must be so, so difficult to be like you are - so sweet and caring all the time. you're always so lovely to us, it's so obvious that you care. just being like that may not make much of a difference to you, but to me, it means everything.
you have no idea how just hearing your voice can brighten my day. how just seeing your smile on a screen makes me smile too. how just hearing your laugh makes me feel so much better instantly. whenever i'm feeling upset or anything, i watch one of your videos, and by the time it's over, i always feel even a small bit happier. i have no idea how you manage it, but you do.
i don't know, i just love absolutely everything about you. you are my favourite person. you are my happiness. I just love you so much. i haven't been that happy all the time recently, but you and phil have changed that somewhat. you let me know that there are people out there who care, even if they're living in a different country and are unaware of my existence. maybe someday you'll know. i hope.

Since it's Dan's birthday (internally screaming), I'm going to TRY (note the emphasis on try) to do this thing where I kind of write a letter type thing, saying how much he means to me? It's a kind of project on Instagram, a small one, but I'm going to do it, though mine will probably make no sense since I'll be overwhelmed with emotion.
