Today I got a copy of A Quiet Kind Of Thunder even though it's not actually out until Tuesday. I'm really happy about this, because I've been waiting for the release since August. And I'm so excited to read a book that actually has a main character that can't talk at school, because I've never found a book about a character that is like me before. ?
Also, I remembered that it also has a dedication in it to everyone that can't talk at school, and I feel like I might cry reading See More it or something because of how relatable and nice it will be.

Things that happened today:
- This morning, I visited the careers office in form, because I still wasn't sure what was happening with my placement at the newspaper headquarters. The teacher said she had expected me to contact them, even though she literally said in our meeting that she would do it, and she wrote down the address and put it in her office. She also wouldn't accept my health and safety letter, because the employer hadn't signed one of the sheets, and she said she See More would pull me out of a lesson to sort everything out with me. But she didn't, and that's kind of annoying. I'm hoping it will work out, though.
- When I was walking to my first lesson, my Science teacher stopped me and said I had got the second highest grade in the class on my test, which was good. I'm sure that most of the reason I had done well on that test was because I remembered something related to Science that sounded like Mika Guy's surname, though. And I didn't even revise, because the teacher had lost my book. But it was an easy test, really.
- In Food Tech, I was thinking about Mika Guy, and then the teacher saw me and mimicked the face I was making. I was kind of embarrassed, because I didn't know that I actually made a certain face when I thought about him. The teacher thought I was just admiring the snow outside, though, so it wasn't too bad.
- When I was walking to the canteen for lunch, Mika Guy was coming back from it. I didn't really expect him to be there, and especially not so early, as the bell had just gone. Then there was kind of an awkward moment where he got stuck behind this boy in my year. He looked kind of nervous, and I noticed that when he's nervous, he bites his knuckles in the exact same way as Mika, which is another similarity. When he managed to get past, he left, and he didn't talk to me again, which was kind of disappointing.
- While I was waiting outside my French classroom, Mika Guy was welcoming people into his classroom and giving them worksheets. I saw him look out of the door to see if there were any more people coming, and then he went back into the room.
- In French, the teacher was talking about how she was going to be moving back into her old classroom. She said she was going to be giving Mika Guy the big classroom that she's using at the moment, and Phone Girl said that the teacher should be allowed to keep her classroom. She said that she had been here longer, and that she was a better teacher than Mika Guy anyway. But I didn't agree, because it isn't really about who is a better teacher. Our class literally has six people in it, and his has a lot more, so obviously he would need the bigger room. And Phone Girl just hates him for no real reason, as she has done since he came in for that interview lesson. She doesn't like his accent, and she says she can't understand anything he says. But that isn't really a good reason to hate someone.

Part 2 of what happened today:
- When I left my RE classroom to go to the canteen, I was walking down the corridor with SkyDoesMinecraft Girl, and I saw Mika Guy at the other end locking the door to his classroom. I was nervous, but less than usual because SkyDoesMinecraft Girl was there. I hoped he would recognise me, and then he saw us and said, "Are you okay, girls?" SkyDoesMinecraft Girl ignored him, but I really wanted to talk to him, so I did. I was kind of afraid to do See More it, and I was a bit overwhelmed because he actually remembered me, and his accent is just really nice. But I managed to say, "Yeah." and smile at him. I kind of wanted to wait and walk down the stairs with him, but SkyDoesMinecraft Girl was walking away and I had to catch up with her, so I started walking with her. Then Mika Guy was behind us while we were going down the stairs, but we walked faster than him, so we didn't see him again until we got to the canteen.
- When I got to the canteen, I sat down with this Year 9 girl who I've recently become friends with. Because Mika Guy replaced her old favourite teacher, she can't eat her lunch in his room anymore. So now she sits with me, SkyDoesMinecraft Girl and everyone else. We were talking, and she said that she thought it was stupid that we aren't allowed to wear makeup and jewellery at school. I said that I agreed, and that all of the teachers wear makeup and jewellery but we can't. She started pointing to teachers and saying, "She's probably wearing makeup." Then Mika Guy walked past behind me, and she said, "He's probably wearing makeup too." And I nearly said, "Probably. Perfection like that can't be real." but I didn't, because that would have just been bad. And then we both started laughing.

Part 1 of what happened today:
- In RE, I was listening to Laughing Boy and this girl's conversation, because I heard them mention Mika Guy. The girl said she thought he was really funny, and Laughing Boy said that he had mentioned that it was going to snow, and then apparently he said he was going to listen to Let It Go. They both started laughing, and then Laughing Boy said he was going to tell her something that happened in his lesson. The girl asked what happened, and he told See More her that all the way through the lesson, Human Copy Machine Girl's best friend had been flirting really hard with Mika Guy for the whole lesson. I got really annoyed about this, and I started thinking about how bad it was that she had done that. But then I realised that I had been almost doing the same thing for the past week, so I couldn't really think that. But then I thought to myself that it was probably so obvious that Human Copy Machine Girl's best friend was flirting with him, because according to Laughing Boy, the whole class noticed. She probably looked so desperate, and he probably thought desperation really wasn't attractive. So then I just found it funny and thought to myself that she was just embarrassing herself.
- When the teacher was talking in RE, someone mentioned an incident that had happened yesterday. I didn't know what they were talking about, so I listened. Apparently there was a supply teacher in Maths yesterday, and he attacked a boy in my year before running out of the school. That's really bad, and I thought that the bad events at my school were over now. But apparently they're not. They got the police involved, though, and the teacher isn't allowed to teach again for a while. They also contacted the boy's parents, and helped him. That's good, because before they probably wouldn't have dealt with the problem this quickly, but now they have. Also, when the teacher was talking about this, someone actually thought she was talking about Mika Guy, which was kind of horrible because I don't think he would ever do anything like that.

I only saw Mika Guy twice today. Once when I was walking to my RE classroom this morning, and once in the canteen.
When I saw him on the way to my RE classroom, I didn't really expect him to be there, because his classroom is in the four storey building, like my RE classroom. But I think he was going to get laptops or something. There's laptops in the four storey building, though, so he might not have been. He didn't see me or recognise me, though, even though I kind of wished See More he would.
And when I saw him in the canteen, I sat near to his table again, because the teachers he usually sits with were there. But today he came into the canteen again and got his lunch, and then he left after talking to the other teachers. I was kind of worried that he had seen me sitting alone eating a packet of chicken pieces, because it didn't really look good. But I think he still didn't see me, which was just as well.

I was just watching You've Been Framed, and they made a joke about Mika on it. They were about to show clips of funny sports accidents, and the presenter said, "Now for some sports clips. And sports is full of testosterone, so let's play a song by the testosterone-filled Mika." And then they played Celebrate in the background of the clips, which is one of my absolute favourite Mika songs, but it almost never gets played on anything. So that was good.
I didn't know whether to See More laugh or be offended by the joke on Mika's behalf, though. But really, I was just glad they mentioned him.

- In assembly this morning, Mika Guy was stood near where TheDoctorsQueen and I were sat, because his form were sat behind us. He was talking to someone, and TheDoctorsQueen mentioned that she liked his accent. Then she started laughing and talking about how different he looked compared to the other teachers, and I laughed too. Then Mika Guy had to lean over TheDoctorsQueen to tell someone to stop talking, and TheDoctorsQueen quietly said, "Help me." See More while he was leaning over her. I laughed, but I was secretly slightly jealous. Then I was kind of worried that she liked him too, but now I don't think she does.
- In Maths, I overheard Human Copy Machine Girl talking about how she thought one of the teachers in the school was cute, and I think she might have been talking about Mika Guy. It wouldn't be very surprising, because she always likes all the same people as me. And she's in his form, so she would have a much better chance of getting to know him than me. But I'm just hoping that he doesn't like her that much, otherwise it will be like Skittle and Emma competing for Mr Winter in Darkness Falls all over again. And Emma was based on her too.
- When I left History today to go to lunch, I was the first person to be allowed to leave the classroom, so Mika Guy left his classroom at the exact same time that I left mine. I was kind of scared, because that meant that I would have to walk down the stairs with him, and it would be really awkward. And I could have done something stupid like fall in front of him, and then he would probably stop thinking I was intelligent. I still kind of wanted to walk slowly so that I had to walk with him, though, because he could have said hello and recognised me. But instead I just ran down the other set of stairs to the canteen so he didn't see me.
- When I got to the canteen, I waited for him to walk in, and when he did, SkyDoesMinecraft Girl said, "There's my form tutor." Then she made more jokes about how tall he is, and then she said, "You know who he reminds me of?" And I knew what she was going to say, but I asked her who anyway. And she said, "Mika." really quietly, and I said that I agreed, and that I thought of that the first time I saw him. Then I said, "Why does he look so much like him?" And SkyDoesMinecraft Girl said that she didn't know, but he really did.

Even though the jokes about Mika Guy are kind of funny, it's also kind of sad that people are just making fun of him. People laugh at his name, his height, his accent, his forehead, the things he says, and everything else. But I think he's a good person, and he could help a lot with making the school into a better place. He has to deal with all of the worst kids in his lessons, and I feel sorry for him. In RE, this boy said that in the lesson he had with Mika Guy, he said that See More the school and the kids in it just seemed really negative, and that he was trying not to let it get to him. That's sad, but I hope he doesn't let it get to him and he does something about it, because it would be even sadder if he left or something because the school was too negative.

Today at school, I didn't really see Mika Guy that much, apart from at lunch and before RE. At lunch, I sat at the table next to the one he usually sits at, and he came into the canteen. But he just talked to the deputy headteacher and then left, which was kind of disappointing. I also saw him outside his classroom before RE, but then I had to go into my lesson.
And in my RE lesson, we were talking about him. This boy said that this girl in the class kept asking Mika Guy stupid See More questions when he was teaching them, and apparently she asked the boy if he was different because he's tall, and everyone started laughing and talking about how tall he was. The teacher said that he isn't that tall, even though he really is, and everyone disagreed with her. Then apparently the girl asked if he was from France because of his accent, and everyone started talking about how that was obvious. The girl said that he uses big words and some other people said they couldn't understand him, and then the teacher mentioned his name again, and everyone started laughing at it again. Then the teacher told everyone that he was an extra Senior Management teacher, which is like the next most important teacher after the headteacher, the deputy headteacher and the main Senior Management teachers, which the RE teacher is one of. I didn't know that, but I'm glad of it, because he's a good teacher and I think he will do well in this job.
And then the RE teacher and the girl started talking about teachers in the school that they had crushes on, and the teacher made a joke saying that the girl only knew how to spell the pastoral mentor's name properly because she stalked him. That was kind of awkward, because they had just been talking about Mika Guy a few moments before. They didn't actually mention him then, though.

I kind of wanted him to see me, but I also didn't want him to because I was kind of nervous. I was trying not to do anything wrong in front of him, in case he looked over at me. And then SkyDoesMinecraft Girl, Lollipop Girl, TheDoctorsQueen and I left the canteen to walk around, but I was kind of sad that we were See More leaving.
- Because Mika Guy talks very enthusiastically and uses a lot of hand gestures when he speaks, I could work out exactly what he and the deputy headteacher were talking about, even though I was sat about three tables away from him. Mika Guy was talking about how he thought the kids at this school were just crazy, and the deputy headteacher kept trying to convince him that the school was amazing. But he looked like he knew the truth.
- At lunch, when we left the canteen, we were talking about Mika Guy, and TheDoctorsQueen kept making jokes about him. She said that half of his height is his forehead, and that his face looks like that Snapchat filter where your face is on your chin. That was kind of mean, because I think he's quite good looking, but I still laughed really hard at that because I know what she means, and it is kind of true.

Everyone started laughing, and then the teacher said that his name sounded like the word 'robot'. Everyone laughed even more, and the teacher said that she wished she'd never said that. Then people started shouting out random variations of his name, and it was kind of hilarious, especially when SkyDoesMinecraft Girl said, "Rhubarbo!"
- He's SkyDoesMinecraft Girl's form tutor now, and in French she said that he was okay. But she and HeyHoHereWeGo, who is also in his form, said that he didn't really do much. And the teacher said, "Well, what do you want him to do?" and she started listing ridiculous things that he could have done. TheDoctorsQueen said, "What do you want him to do, perform a one man barber's shop quartet?" And I laughed at that.
