Not at the Gathering... (Chapter 27)
Tonight was a gathering. This would be the second gathering that Cindertuft would go to after becoming the official ThunderClan Medicine cat. On the way to the Gathering, Cindertuft realized that Longpelt had stayed behind at the camp this time. She then thought about her sisters and mother. 'It's been a while since I talked to them. Maybe I should spend more time with them at the Gathering?' Cindertuft thought as she padded beside Darkfang, a warrior. When Thunderclan arrived at the Gathering, Cindertuft noticed that Windclan wasn't there yet. She also noticed that Hawkflame wasn't at the gathering tonight. 'This means I can spend time with my family tonight!' Cindertuft happily thought as she ran over to her sisters, who were beside their mother, Bluefang."Hey guys," Cindertuft greeted Brightflame and Blackfrost with a smile as she padded over, "can I sit by you toni-"
"No, you may not, Cindertuft! You aren't welcome in this family anymore!" Bluefang quietly hissed, trying to not make much noise so no one would notice. "W-what? Why?" Cindertuft asked very confused. "Oh, it's one thing for you to judge me on my type of love but never defy my skills as a Medicine Cat, Bluefang, since you can hardly call yourself a warrior," Cindertuft quietly hissed as Bluefang gasped in shock at her kin's sudden confidence, "and for your information, the only reason I haven't spoken to you all in a long while is because I have duties too! My Clan needs someone as a Medicine Cat, and Longpelt said I was the best cat for this role and you know it!" Cindertuft added, shoving her nose into Bluefang's face, silently growling.
Bluefang huffed in frustration and looked away as Brightflame and Blackfrost just stared at Cindertuft and Bluefang with wide eyes, clearly surprised at what just happened between their mother and their sister's sudden argument. Cindertuft angrily huffed and turned to leave, her tail furiously slashing back and forth as she walked away. 'How dare they do this to their kin and their Medicine Cat! Especially at a Gathering!' Cindertuft quietly hissed under her breath as she sat down somewhere by RiverClan. This was going to be a long night for Cindertuft...
