Familiar face, not so familiar aura
Normal POVA familer forest green and black hedgehog leans against a tree about a mile out from where the girls were battling the parrot boy. Even from there he could hear their screams. Yet, one scream from them all somehow stood out to him. Almost as if he knew them.
"Impossible" he mutters "Like hell I know anyone from Mobius!" But he can't help but keep on questioning. "Whatever" he finally admits shrugging. "I better get ready for em"
The girls trudge down the dark and dimly lit path where the boy hand gestured for them to follow.
"Should we have trusted him?" Jackie asks jumping whenever a sound louder then their footsteps occured.
"It's not like we had a hotter choice-"
"Well, well, what are you five ladies doing all the way out here?" The group swivel round to see the Surge the hedgehog from this dimension. Sapphire doesn't know how to feel about this. He's got one hand in the pocket of his jeans and a lazy grin on his face. As he looks at Sapphire an emotion flashes in his eyes that's she's not able to identify on time before it's gone. Recognising the hedgehog in front of her Maria takes Sapphires hand in attempt to lead her away.
"Come on, we have to keep going"
"What's the rush?" Surge asks his grin quickly turning into somewhat evil. He turns back towards the stunned blue hedgehog and his features soften.
“What’cha got there, darlin'?” he asks, looking at the sketches of forget me nots scattered on her being. Sapphire doesn’t answer. He chuckles and holds out a hand, “I'm Surge, you got a name?” Sapphire takes a moment before they drag their eyes down to the hand being extended. They lift a hand, slowly, before grasping Surges. The electric shock that makes them convulses equals the mental one they’re experiencing.
“Didn’t anybody ever tell you?” he drawls, but Sapphire can’t see him. "Theres no hope of living here.”
When she blinks, she's staring at the closed doors of the night sky once again. This time she doesn't get up. Shuffling was heard and someone kneels next to the poor girl.
“You okay?” Crimson asks.
“No.”
This time, they whirl around before Surge can speak and Sapphire doesn't take his hand when he extends it. She just stares at Surge blankly.
“Aw come on, isn't it rude to not introduce yourself to strangers?” Surge asks. Sapphire shakes her head. He hums in response.
“So, where ya going?” he stuffs both his hands in his pockets and walks past the five. No one moves and just looks at him. Surge huffs, “You wanna freeze? Fine.” Sapphire bites her lip and takes careful steps until they’re beside Surge. Her friends are begging her to stop behind her. The demon hedgehog makes a noise of satisfaction and continues walking. Sapphire follows and soon her friends catch up but trail behind not wanting to be near the new threat.
“There’s a town further ahead,” he says, “Ya headed there?” Sapphire frowns for a second and says,
"We're going home.”
“Going home?” Surge echoes, “Where's home?”
“Mobius,” She says.
“That’s kinda ambitious, darlin',” he stops in his tracks and Sapphire follows his lead. “Especially with the people around here. See, I'm working around these parts and I’m supposed to kill your kind,” he says, “But I guess I can let you slide every now and then.” Calista, Jackie Crimson and Maria catch up to the two. Surge doesn't acknowledge them, “I don't work alone, my partner. He isn't, let's say, as laid back as me. In fact, I think I can hear him coming now.” In the distance, there are faint metallic stomps. “Good luck, darlin',” Surge winks, “Negro isn’t a fan of Mobians.”
