The Truth Comes Out

Both teams finally decided to camp out in a isolated spot where no villages were. The wind blew the dark trees as the wind moved around the forest. With the moon shinning brightly above them, the stars joined with their twinkling lights. While Hannah and Lacee went to get wood, and Alana and Autumn went searching for food, the others sat on the grass glaring at the stars. Silence engulfed around them but slowly disappeared.

"The moon is so beautiful out tonight. Reminds me of running with father and mother." (Lilith)
"I've never met a demon wolf before. It's quite rare." (Evie)
"There used to be tons of us. We would run through the night. Together. United." (Lilith)
"What happened?" (Crystal Xie)
"She isn't going to tell you!" (Crystal)
"I don't blame her not trusting us yet." (Max)
"We are not known to trust Adya." (Alyssa)
"Yet y'all are the ones.." (Evie)

Suddenly, Evie got cut off by a loud girlish scream coming from the woods. All the girls stood up and began running to the scream. When they arrived at the scene, Autumn was sitting in a tree shooting arrows at a water creature shooting water. In the air, Alana was shooting lightening bolts at a air creature. Lacee was trying to attack a fire creature with her sword, and Hannah and Kiara tried attacking a earth creature.

"What the heck is those things?" (Crystal Xie)
"Shut up and help us!!" (Autumn)

Crystal spread her wings and flew over to distract the air creature while Alana shoot lightening bolts at it. Evie ran over to Autumn as Merlin and Flash attacked the water creature. Both girls stood in trees shooting arrows at the thing. Even though she hated it, Crystal ran over to Hannah and used her dark powers on the earth creature. Max and Lilith looked at each other and knew they both had to go help Lacee together. Both girls ran to Lacee and battled with the fire creature.

Alyssa stood still as she glared at what was in front of her. She knew these creatures just like she knew there were more.

In Alyssa's mind

'Why is this happening? My head...it hurts so bad. I have to stop this. I have to, or they will all...'

Alyssa snapped back to place and glared at the creatures.

Launching arrows, Autumn jumped from tree to tree, but every arrow would just go straight through the creature. What was she up against? Her arrows weren't doing nothing. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw them. Two dogs running at the water creature growling and barking, but their attacks didn't work either. Evie stood their shooting arrows wondering why her attacks wasn't working until she saw the fire creature Lacee, Max, and Lilith were fighting. Her plan was perfect.

The fire creature continually shot flames at the three girls. Lacee knew her sword and dagger was the only thing able to hurt this thing, but those attacks weren't working. Each attack would just go straight through it. The same worked with Lilith's and Max's attacks. Then, they heard a voice.

"Make it shoot its flames at this creature! We will do the same." (Evie)
"If you say so." (Max)
"Hey look at me!!" (Lilith taunting the fire creature)
"Over here, water head!" (Autumn taunting the water creature)

The fire creature glared at Lilith, and the water creature watched Autumn. Both creatures shot out their powers. Autumn and Lilith jumped away from the attack. Fire hit the water just like water hit the fire. With steam covering the battle, the creatures who shot each other disappeared into smoke.  

"Two down. Two to go." (Lilith)

Looking up from the ground, the girls watched as Alana shot lightening that would continue missing.

"Spin around while shooting lightening. Trust me!" (Crystal Xie)

Spinning around, the air creature came closer and closer until it was trapped inside. Finally, just one creature left. Crystal continued to shoot the earth creature leaving holes in its chest. Anger grew over Crystal as she launched a large dark attack sending the creatures into pieces. Standing in front of everyone, Alyssa felt their dark stares.

"Where were you?" (Max)
"I'm sorry. Something happened." (Alyssa)
"Yeah while we were getting our butts kicked, something happened? I saw nothing!" (Hannah)
"Hey! Shut up Adya! Let Alyssa explain. It is ok you can tell us." (Lilith)
"We won't judge you." (Crystal)
"We might." (Crystal Xie)
"Ok..I know who we are up against. His name is Nemesis, a fake God, and he is extremely powerful and pure evil." (Alyssa)
"What does that have to do with you?" (Evie)
"I repented to him. Now because of ties to him, he is working hard to control me. The closer we get the closer I feel it." (Alyssa)
"We didn't know about this." (Autumn)
"I knew Duante did this!" (Lacee)
"We didn't." (Alana)
"Look. So what Alyssa did that we all have secrets!" (Lilith)
"I don't trust that." (Evie)
"Why don't you trust us!? What have we done to you?" (Autumn)
"Your training sessions abandoned my sister!! Just cause she fell y'all called her weak! She was all I had! She died in my arms! I will never NEVER trust any Duante for abandoning my sister." (Evie)
"Well don't we sound like a big happy family.." (Alana)
"How about everyone shut up?" (Crystal)
"I don't have to do anything you say!" (Hannah)
"Wanna fight, Adya?!" (Crystal)
"Everyone shut up!!" (Lacee)
"Let's just go back and sleep." (Lilith)
"Sounds great to me." (Max)

Each team went back to the camp sight not saying a word to each other. All the girls but one had the same thought on their minds. The girls were thinking how they didn't trust the other person, but Alyssa was more afraid of how they were going to defeat Nemesis and...herself.

One girl's action jeopardizes the entire journey. Then, when the girls make it to the entrance, will their biggest secrets be uncovered?
