Maple (Chapter 13)
~~Normal P.O.V~~Lyna padded over to Kuturo and plopped down beside him. She felt extremely tired, but the reason why remained a mystery. Kuturo knew something was wrong so he decided to ask."Something up?"
Lyna shrugged. She had lost her voice the other day when she had begun violently coughing, so she couldn't verbally respond. She didn't know why she was so...sick. It had never happened before, so confusion clawed at her mind. Lyna remembered getting sick one day when she was with Maple. And, of course, this was before her life became a shitstorm.
•Flashback•
One day, Lyna and Maple were hanging out under a maple tree. Ironic that Maple, the cat was laying under a Maple Tree? Yes, yes it was. Beast was sick, so he couldn't hang out with the two she-cats. They did many fun things that day. They playfully chased each other, swam in the small river near the city, stole food from humans, and did other many other things. At the end of the day, Lyna had began coughing...hard. Maple was worried, so she looked around for some herbs to help soothe Lyna's throat. Unfortunately, she couldn't find any. It was time for Maple to check up on Beast so she said goodbye to Lyna, who was ok with her leaving. Soon after Maple left, Lyna stopped coughing. This confused her greatly. She shrugged it off though and then went back home.
A few days later, the world turned to shit when the humans decided to test experiments on cats. Maple and Beast were captured, but they weren't the only ones. Lyna wasn't with her two friends at the time, so she didn't know what pain and suffering they were going through. A few weeks had passed and Lyna still hadn't seen Maple or Beast. Worry clawed at her mind as she continued to think about them. A few weeks later, Lyna was captured. She still hasn't seen Maple or Beast again.
•Flashback End•
After remembering all of this, Lyna then knew that something bad was gonna happen. And she was right. It did, but it happened a few days later. Lyna was walking around in the clearing of the camp. She was a bit close to the reject section when all of a sudden there was a meow coming from behind Lyna.
"Hello, Lyna." The cat behind Lyna said. Lyna could hear the smirk in the cat's voice. Lyna turned and her eyes widened in surprise, shock, and horror. When Lyna turned, she saw her.
Maple.
And she looked...
Crazy.
