What's Wrong With Me?! (Chapter 10)

~~ Tay's P.O.V ~~

I felt betrayed as I caught Lyna's eye. She gave me a sad look before turning away to do her stupid training or whatever. My anger had only gotten worse, making me feel as if I was just a form of rage. I sighed again and plopped down next to the rotting carcass of a mouse. I scrunched up my nose and took a bite. It tasted bitter like the Thunderpath. I knew that I had to find a way to relieve my anger...I wouldn't want to hurt anyone.

I settled into the furthest corner of the den, feeling unwanted. As I stared at the rocky wall of the punishment den, a voice crept into my ears. It was high pitched and whispery as if the owner of it had a sore throat. I glanced around but saw no one. "Now I'm delusional?!" I muttered sarcastically to myself. A few minutes later sleep had started to blur the edges of my vision and make my mind weary. I let it carry me away to the hidden world where I visited ever so often.

I awoke in a clearing. The tall trees were black silhouettes against the red sky. The place gave me the creeps. I glanced down at my striped paws and gasped. They were covered in blood. I spluttered as cats emerged from hidden dens. They had glowing white eyes (like Ina's) and black fur. They looked like silhouettes. Suddenly one with wings stepped forward and spoke in an eerie ice cold voice. "Welcome to the Rejects..." Suddenly a wave of blood crashed down on me and filled my mouth. I yowled, only to have the sound be swept away by the blood.

I woke up to someone prodding my flank. It was Lyna. I hissed and sprung up, fiercely dashing away from her and into another corner of the Punishment Den. I hated her for turning me into the monster that I was.

I sighed and looked down. "Guess we aren't friends anymore..." I quietly sighed as I got up and turned, but before I padded out of the Punishment Den I looked back at Tay and smiled sadly. "I'm sorry..." I quietly said. I then left the den with my tail dragging across the grass once more today. I was starting to get depressed so I went out into the human city and hunted. Few hours later, I came back with a rabbit that wasn't infected with anything, which was rare. I dropped it in the prey pile and padded away.

"What's wrong, Lyna?" I heard Kuturo's voice from behind me. I turned and saw him standing there. He folded his wings, and I could tell he just landed behind me. "Nothings wrong." I tried to force a smile. He frowned and sighed. "I can tell something's up. Speak." He said. I sighed and nodded.

"I don't think Tay likes me anymore..." I sighed and looked down at my paws. "Why would she not like you?" Kuturo asked. "I turned her into the monster she is now. I do this to everyone... You can ask Maple or Beast..." I sighed and looked up to see his reaction. His eyes had widened at the mention of the two most very well-known rejects.

"You were...friends with...them?" He asked, a bit surprised that I was once friends with two rejects. I nodded and looked down at my paws once more. "Maple was my best friend and Beast was like a brother to me..." I quietly said as fun memories with the two cats flooded into my brain. "I would be lying if I said I didn't miss them, but I do miss them. They took after my other side... My bad side. I never wanted it to happen..." I sighed. I then got up and padded to my nest, leaving Kuturo behind. I think he knew I wanted space because he didn't follow this time.
