The Disaster
Avery's POVWith a sickening splash, the chocolate spewed out of the fountain, and oozed onto my clothes. Around us, people turned and stared, gawking (rude...).
I vaguely heard Eva laughing hysterically, but I was too busy running away, again. What was with the horrible string of bad things happening to me?
Aaron's POV
I watched AVERY, tears streaming down her face, run out of the gym. I flashbacked to biology class. Then, Id done nothin fb to help the girl I loved, and that wasn't going to happen again.
Running out of the gym undetected was the easy part. Everywhere people were whispering about what happened, and no one noticed or cared that I was gone.
Emma's POV
Lexi, Amethyst, Ski, and I rushed to the doors to find Avery. Curse the fact that I'd decided to wear high heels.
We passed Eva's disgusting little passé, who were laughing like my best friend's demise was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.
Lexi's POV
I narrows my eyes at Eva, and ran up to her.
"What...the...heck...did...you...freaking...just do?!" I resisted the urge to scream.
Eva widened her eyes in fake innocence, batting her eyelashes. "Oh, nothing. Nothing at all. Avery's problem, as hilarious as it is, is not my fault."
Amethyst stepped up, a look of rage on her face. "SHUT UP! Tell me, WHAT THE HECK DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?!"
To our utter surprise, Dawn stepped up, shaking. Her usually pretty face was lined with guilt.
No. No. NO.
"I did it, not Eva." she stuttered out.
Eva smirked, her other cronies laughed, and Amethyst hissed, "Why did Avery ever want to help you, you vile creature?"
Aaron's POV
There she was. Sitting on a bench in the courtyard, with her face in her hands. And ugly chocolate stain colored her turquoise dress. But none of that mattered.
Avery was flawless.
Taking a deep breath, I walked up to her and tapped her shoulder, fingers shaking.
Avery's POV
I turned my head, seeing the last person I wanted to see right then. I brushed a tear away, saying nothing. I was tired of running.
Aaron's voice shook as he spoke. "Look Avery. I...I love you. Okay? I really do."
He did?
I stared at him, a smile forming at the tips of my lips. "Me too."
He looked alight with happiness, and asked, "Will you dance with me?"
