Matchmaker

Lost

When the bell rang, everyone poured out of the classroom out of the second period class, science.
"At last," I thought. The teacher had introduced me, but everyone just kinda ignored it. No one i knew was in the classroom, except for one of the girls i saw talking this morning. I stuffed my books into my locker and trudged to the cafeteria. Or at least i THOUGHT i was going to the cafeteria.

Soon i realized I was hopelessly lost.
"What are you doing here?" a voice behind me asked. I turned around and saw Aidan.
"Oh no..." I thought. I wanted to shrink back into a corner, but instead I mistered all my courage and said in a weak voice, "Well, um, I'm kinda... well, lost."

Aidan laughed. "Where do you need to go?" he asked.
"C-Cafeteria," I stuttered.
"Oh cool!" he called, walking down the hall. "I'm heading there too! Just follow me, 'kay?" I nodded, blushing profoundly. I tailed him as he turned several corners. I saw lots of people staring for the fourth time today, but instead of disgust it was plain jealousy. I blushed harder.
"Here we are!" Aidan stopped abruptly, and I almost crashed into his back.
"Thanks," I told him as he held the door open for me. I swear the entire female population of the cafeteria stopped and stared at me.
"Aidan!" someone called. He waved goodbye to me and went towards the table. I just stood there like an idiot, not knowing were to go sit down.
