Three - Pink
"You're the only one standing in your way."Chapter Three - Pink
*Neil POV*
"Why pink?" Wait, what? What was pink? My shirt wasn't pink, was it? I looked down, the pink sharpie catching my eye. Oh.
"I figured girls like pink." I smiled as I held the notebook up to her. I could almost see a smile begin to form on her face when she frowned and looked down at a piece of paper on her desk.
As I sat there, staring at her as she read whatever was on her desk, I truly felt like a creep. I mean, I randomly tried to talk to her at lunch yesterday, I could've sworn she saw me looking at her when she was at her locker, and now I'm sitting next to her in class for the first time ever, staring at her as she read. Man, I must've seemed like the biggest creep ever to her.
My curiosity was overwhelming when I saw her close her eyes tightly, covering her face with her hands. What could've possibly happened to her that would make her like this?

*Edwin POV*
I looked down at the lesson, trying to pay attention to the words printed on the piece of paper. I failed miserably, though, as I couldn't stop thinking about Asher's lifeless body. I couldn't get the image of the shattered glass covering his lifeless body out of my mind.
I closed my eyes tight, trying to calm my racing heart. I covered my face with my hands, taking a deep breath. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about that night. I couldn't forget Asher's lifeless body. I couldn't forget looking down to see blood and shattered glass covering my own body. I couldn't forget looking back at Shawn and seeing his neck bent abnormally, his face smashed through the window. I couldn't forget the terrified look on Parker's face as she saw everything around her falling apart.
I opened my eyes when I felt a hand land gently on my shoulder. removing my face from my hands, I looked up to see the man from the lunch table looking at me with a worried look. He held the notebook from earlier out to me, a short message written on it. "You okay?"
I nodded, looking back at the piece of paper in front of me. I felt a tap on my shoulder again, and looked up at him with an annoyed look. "Also, the bell rang." I mentally cursed myself, wondering why my phone didn't vibrate like it always did.
As I grabbed my crutches and stood up, I noticed something that felt surprisingly great: I was taller than whoever this annoying guy was.
