I feel like such a terrible person right now. My uncle went to Virginia Beach, and bought me two turtle themed items just because he knew I like turtles. He gave them to me at my sister's 15th birthday party. Today, I accidentally broke one of the things he bought me. Now I feel terrible, and the entrance to my room is covered in glass and glittery water.

*Parker POV* (3 months earlier)

“Can we please stop?” I whine, “I really need to eat something.”

“No,” Asher sternly said from the driver’s seat, “We’re already late, Parker.”

“Just give her what she wants, Asher,” Nova looked over at him, “Or else she’s never going to shut up.”

Before any of us could react, the car was hit head-on by another car. Everything slowed as I heard Nova scream, the whole windshield shattering and covering her and Asher in broken glass. My eyes grew wide in horror as my brain finally realized what was actually happening. I looked over at Shawn, seeing his neck bent oddly and his face shoved through the window it had broken. I looked forward, seeing Nova staring back at me, her whole face covered in blood. There was glass embedded into her skin, blood pouring out of the wounds it created. Her eyes slowly closed as she simply stared into my terrified eyes.

Looking down, I saw blood covering my own body, encasing me in red. As I finally caught my breath, I slowly and painfully took off my seatbelt, attempting to open the car door. I carefully placed my feet on the ground, trying to force myself up. Instead of standing, though, I simply fell, a world of darkness encasing me.
