Naomi frech-braided my hair while us and Evie talked."Mia, you can't be serious. This is obviously a date. Everyone is going to spread the rumor that you broke the oath. Do you want that?" Evie went on.
"Guys, it's not a date. I'm just helping him with his archery," I confirmed.
"In the woods?" Naomi asked.
"It's because those will probably be closer to his surroundings than an archery field," I answered.
"Yes, but all alone? In the woods? It makes me think he either wants to have a special kiss with you or kidnap you," Naomi said.
"It's not a date!" I yelled angrily.
They didn't understand. they never would. They didn't trust some guys as much as me, but I also barely trusted them based on my experience. Still, I was supposed to be the distrusting one, not them.
It was silent for a few minutes, until Naomi broke the silence.
"Alright, you're all done. Have fun," Naomi said, letting go of my braids.
I grabbed my bow and walked to the edge of the woods.
