Archery

I confidently walked towards the woods to find Hunter there waiting for me. He had a bow and a few arrows to practice with. I didn't know what the girls were thinking, this seemed perfectly fine. He just wanted help, and this was not a date, no matter what they said.
"Hey Mia," he greeted.
"Hey," I replied.
"I want to thank you for helping me in advance," he said.
"Oh it's no problem, I really do enjoy archery, so I'd help anyone."
He nodded.
"Well I know the perfect spot," he said.
He started walking and I followed. As we went deeper I started to notice nothing was getting in our way. No branches, no plants, no stumps or trees, which made me realize that he made a trail. Just for this. It was so sweet.
After about five minutes he stopped.
"Here we are," he said, gesturing to the wide open land around us. I noticed a target set up by a tree. He put down all of his arrows but one, and he notched that one in his bow. He got into his stance and looked at me. "This doesn't seem right," he said. He was talking about his stance. I picked up my bow and did my stance.
"Here, mimic me. I know we have a different body type and strength, but this one works for anyone," I suggested. He tried to mimic me, but failed again. I walked up to him and started moving around the limbs that needed to be re-positioned. It felt a bit awkward, with my arm around him trying to move his arms. He turned his neck around to see me.
"Is this too awkward for you, we can stop if you feel like it," he suggested.
"No, no it's fine, not a big deal," I confirmed. He was still looking at me. His beautiful eyes staring into mine. Without my mind's consent, my face moved closer to his, and without missing a beat, our lips collided. He dropped his bow, and put his strong arms around my body.
We came apart.
It was perfect silence, until he whisper, "What about the oath?"
I took a few seconds to ponder what came out of his mouth. "Screw the oath," I said, as I took a breath in, and our lips came together as they were before.
