This is my self insert fanfic that I wrote and it's kinda cheesy but I had fun writing it. I may buffer it in the future and/ or add more to it.

My breath hitched in my throat at the sight in front of me. Am I seeing things? They clearly looked different from what I last remembered but that smile...could never be forgotten. That creepy smile that was stained onto a child's face was teasing at most. Their brown hair barely meeting their shoulders, grazing the top of their periwinkle and pink sweater.
They waved the cell phone in front of me, as if to snap me out of my thoughts.
“Is this yours?” they said sarcastically.

“...yeah, now can I have it back?”

They smirked and pulled out what looked to be a knife. I tensed at the sight of it.

“If you want it so badly than fight me for it.” they said cheerfully.

Several thoughts raced through my mind. What was this child doing with a knife? Were they the same one I encountered earlier? Is my phone worth a fight?
Nah.

“You can keep it.” I stated after a moment of thought.

At this, their shoulders slumped, and their expression transformed into anger. “You're so boring!” They threw the small device on the ground, making a small indention in the snow. “Now get out of our way!”
The next thing I knew, they had leaped forward and swung the knife. A searing hot sensation erupted in my right thigh as the knife cut through my faded jeans. I stumbled backwards but managed to keep myself upright. The kid, drove the knife straight for me and I barely side stepped to avoid them. Acting quickly, I grabbed their knife wielding hand and held it up.
“Hey! Let go of me!” They thrashed about as I tried to pry the weapon from their small hands.
Why were their hands covered in dust?
With a swift kick, they drove their heel right into my wounded leg causing my weight to give out from under me. Now, on my knees I was eye level with the demented child. Their red orbs glaring at me. They reapplied the knife in their hand and slashed again, this time cutting through my shoulder. With a desperate cry I rose and kicked them in the side sending them to the ground; just long enough to buy myself enough time wrestle the weapon out of their grip.
I defensively pointed the knife at them, they laughed at this.

“Go ahead! I bet you won't do it!”

They, were right...I couldn't openly harm them unless they pressed for it. So instead, I tossed the knife over the cliff behind me. A shocked expression came over them, but I didn't stick around to hear what they said as I ran across the wood bridge. Ignoring the pain, the best I could until I reached the other side.

I limped into a small town that was named “Snowdin” which now seemed eerily quiet. I had no clue what time it was, but this looked like a ghost town. Where was everyone? I glanced down at both of my wounds to find that they were still bleeding; I needed to find something or someone to help me. I continued after passing an inn, bar, library; even though the last was misspelled. I didn't know where to go but far away from that kid.
A few moments later I could feel a pair of eyes on me. Would they follow me? A shivered at the thought and of the cold. I glanced behind me nervously, now I'm glad that I did.
“H-HUMAN?”
It was Papyrus, and it looked like he just stepped out of a house that was decorated in lights. His expression made me stop in my tracks; it was full of confusion and fear.
I went to step towards him only to have my right knee forget how to operate. My knee hit the solid ground hard, causing a painful jolt to bring me to my senses again. Papyrus raced over to me, kneeling to survey my wounds with a terrified look on his face.
“LET’S GET YOU I-INSIDE.”
I wasn't sure if I agreed or not, but I was lifted up and carried indoors. Once inside, my numb body began to defrost slowly. He gently sat me on the sofa, being careful to not hurt either of my injuries.
“T-thank you.” I said, and it sounded weaker than I felt. Maybe it was my nerves keeping the pain at bay, either way I was just relieved that is was Papyrus and not...
“SANS!”
Papyrus was on the second story walkway and was knocking on a door in which I assumed was Sans' room. I could feel the worry in his voice. Was he really that concerned about someone he just met? A second later Sans appeared in the doorway with a worried look on his face. His eyes immediately focused on me on the sofa, something felt off.
Within a few moments, the brothers were down stairs and at my side. Sans looked over my wounds, the white pupils in his eye sockets quickly vanishing.
“what happened...”
It sounded more like a demand than a question. Like he may already know the answer to his own question and was just waiting for me to confirm it. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably.
“I-It was a kid in a b-blue sweater...”

Then there was the longest silence.
