This is my self insert fanfic that I wrote and it's kinda cheesy but I had fun writing it. I may buffer it in the future and/ or add more to it.

Heal and Pain

The air felt still and even Papyrus could feel how tense things were by the way he was rubbing his gloved hands together. Sans was still unmoving, as if thinking with his sockets void of light. Then he suddenly cleared his nonexistent throat.
“paps go into the kitchen and fix something to eat. i'll heal her.”

Without a word Papyrus went into the kitchen, washing his hands in the sink then pulling out items out of the fridge. Sans stepped closer and got a better look at the cuts, then a faint blue glow illuminated from his hands, which began to hover over my right thigh. For a second, my skin began to tingle with a warm feeling caused by the healing.

“it'll stop the bleeding but won't completely heal.”

I nodded my head in understanding and quietly watched the bleeding slowly stopped. Then he moved to my left shoulder and did the same. I watched closely and could make out a slight tremor in the small skeleton's hands.

“You okay?” I asked after he pulled away from my shoulder.

The white pupils were slowly becoming more visible in his conflicted expression. Trying to get my thoughts put back together a sudden realization hit me.
Where is the kid now? Would they attack others like they did me?

“let's just eat first” he snapped me out of my thoughts.

I glanced over towards the kitchen to see steaming plates of spaghetti being pulled out of the microwave. We all sat on the couch and ate awkwardly. I didn't really prefer spaghetti, but Papyrus mentioned that monster food would heal my cuts and give my strength back. So, I wasn't going to complain. After the three of us were done eating Sans called us all the kitchen table to talk about something “important”. This really peaked Papyrus' interest.
As we all took a seat, Sans in front of me and Papyrus to my right, the short brother let out a deep sigh.

“i'm going to try to keep this explanation short k?” he didn't wait for our consent. He rests his head on one of his hands and talks with the other. “every four days’ time is reset, and those days repeat themselves over and over again. the reason for this happening is somehow because of a child named Frisk...each time they are different: good, bad or in-between. but one thing always remains as a constant.” At this he looks at me with dead seriousness in his eyes. “it is always just them. one human. no one else. so why are you here?”

“SANS, DON'T BE RUDE TO THE HUMAN! SHE FELL DOWN HERE LIKE ALL THE OTHERS DID...RIGHT?..”

I shook my head almost too fast at this, “No, I-I was just exploring the mountain and a kid pushed me in.” The words came out quickly and it took them both a moment for them to process what I had said.
The two skeletons were quiet and looked in deep thought. This was still a lot to take in, but I wasn't going to argue with someone who have already helped so much.
Then I remembered...

“Would they want to hurt anyone else? They had a knife, of course, and their hands were covered in this dust...”
Both of their expressions jumped at the statement.

“H-HUMAN, DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT WHEN MONSTERS DIE THAT THEY TURN TO DUST?”

So... that would mean that this “Frisk” have killed probably dozens of monsters going by the state their hands and clothes were in...

“We need to stop them, or talk to them or something!” I said in a burst of readiness. If they have already killed, it will mean that they will continue doing so.
“...it's worth a shot. where was the last place you saw them?” Sans questioned.

I explained, and Papyrus seemed to also be aware of these “resets”, as Sans calls them, which helped with understanding what kind of character Frisk was. But one thing seemed to remain a mystery.
What caused them kill?

More importantly...why am I here?

Neither of those questions could be answered at the moment. Right now, it was very important that we find Frisk and prevent anymore death before things really got out of hand.
After looking myself over, I almost forgot that my clothes were cut and bloodstained. I asked if there was any place at the time that I could get a change of clothes, and yet again they were too kind. Papyrus offered to wash my clothes will Sans mentioned that he would sew the rips back together. Since of my height, I had to borrow a few items from Papyrus to wear until my attire was returned to blood-free and tear-free state.
You really wouldn't want to wear those around, after a while the blood would dry and have an awful iron smell.
The taller skeleton retrieved a graphic T-shirt with the soft kitty song on it, along with coal gray sweatpants and Sans gifted an old parka that was salmon and a bit worn out. All in all, it was kinda comfortable and awkward to be wearing someone else clothing. But they didn't seem to mind.

“So, who else can remember the resets?” I ask Sans as Papyrus is hunting for his favorite scarf, yelling about some stupid dog.
“nah, just me and my bro.” he replied rather casually.

“Really? I bet it's really tough sometimes...”

“heh yeah, it can be exhausting and leave ya bone tired”

I laughed a little at that, it's always good to have a sense of humor, even in the worst of times.
Then Papyrus waltz into the living room where me and Sans are waiting with a phone out and dialing a number.
“who ya calling paps?” Sans questions.

“WHY THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB OF COURSE!”

ring...ring...

I could hear a muffled “hello” on the other end.

“HELLO UNDYNE! THIS IS PAPYRUS AND WE ARE OF NEED OF YOUR EXPERTISE! THERE IS A DANGEROUS HUMAN HARMING MONSTERS AND WE NEED-UM UNDYNE? UNDYNE?!” He paused for a few moments listening to the phone. “I THINK SHE HUNG UP-”
As soon as he finished the phrase, the front door was slammed open revealing a tall fish lady. With vibrant red hair and pale blue scales. Her jagged teeth were flashing a broad smile, “Where's the little brat at?!” then it quickly faded when her sights caught on me. Within a flash, she had me by the collar with a teal spear bared and pointed at me.
“You tiny pip-squeak is hurting my friends?! Well prepare to learn what true pain is!”

Author's note: Congratulations to you if you read this far! Like thanks man. I know this story is very cliche and kinda overdone but as I was rereading this it made me laugh and smile so what could it hurt to post it? Maybe it will inspire others to write their own self insert, with whatever fandom they choose of course. But thanks and please let me know your thoughts!
