Chapter 6 - Moving Day
The next morning, it was Saturday. Skittle Aradito woke up to a loud sound coming from down the road."What is that?" she murmured to herself as she sleepily opened the curtains to look at what was going on.
Outside Tara's house, there were lots of white vans with men in suits putting all of her furniture into the vans. It was clear what was going on. It was moving day. Skittle had forgotten that today was the day that Tara would be moving to the countryside. She sighed miserably. She was going to miss her best friend. They were like sisters, they did everything together. Skittle decided to have her last moments with Tara while she was in the country. So she quickly pulled on a jumper and pants over her pyjamas, and she put on her trainers. She rushed down the road to Tara's house, and she could just see her best friend sat on the wall outside her house. She ran over to talk to her.
"Hi, Tara!" Skittle said, breathless from running.
"Oh, hey there, Skittle. What are you doing up so early?" Tara said. She wasn't used to seeing the black-and-blonde haired girl up this early.
"I came down to see you before you leave, you know, so we could have our last moments together before you go." Skittle explained.
"Aww, that's sweet." Tara laughed.
Skittle laughed too.
"I guess. What are you up to?"
"I'm just sat out here, chilling out." Tara said.
Then Tara's mum came out of the house.
"Say goodbye to Skittle now, Tara. We have to go now."
Tara looked at Skittle apologetically.
"I wish I didn't have to leave."
"I wish you didn't have to leave too." Skittle said.
"I'm so sorry. I'll visit you sometime, I promise." Tara said.
Then she got into the car and drove away, waving as she got further and further away. Skittle kept waving back, smiling brightly.
But then Tara was no more than a tiny speck in the distance, and Skittle's smile slowly faded to a frown.

But I don't think you've seen the wall post about what happened on the trip. It was absolutely horrible. The teacher brought 20 other people on the trip who hadn't done anything at all. On the way there in the coach, I was forced to sit in a spare seat in a cramped area next to the door, and everyone else got proper seats, even though I was the See More only reason they were on the trip. I kept having panic attacks on the coach because I got really claustrophobic. And when we got there, the whole thing was just listening to authors talk about their books for three hours. It was so boring, and at the end of it, the teacher didn't even let us meet any authors. When someone asked the teacher if we were going to meet them, the teacher told them not to be stupid, even though it specifically said on the letter we were given that we got to meet all of the authors. And we got back to school just after lunch, when the teacher had said that the trip lasted all day.
I was so angry. . . :/
