The Great... Sans? (Underswap! Sans X Reader)

Blue Attacks

Only about a minute or two into your walk, you stumbled upon some sort of building.

Looking the structure up and down, you noted the gorgeous craftsmanship and beautiful details, and couldn't help but wonder who made it. Upon closer inspection you notice an inscription in the wood:

"you observe the well-crafted sentry station. who could of built this? you ponder... i bet it was that very famous royal guardsmen! (note: not yet a very famous royal guardsman.)"

You giggle to yourself as you finished reading. No doubt that this was made by Sans, the 'Very Famous Royal Guardsman'.

Laughing at the thought, you look at the station again, for such a short and childish skeleton, he sure could work a hammer.

Continuing on, you reach a sign, another sentry station not to far ahead.

'ABSOLUTELY NO MOVING!' You read aloud, confused as to why you weren't allowed to move.

"I'm sure they won't mind if I move a little bit." You reasoned with yourself.

As you begin to walk to the other side of the station, two dogs jumped up from behind the counter, startling you and causing you too fall to the ground.

"Who's there?" The male dog barked out.

"We can only see moving things!" The female added.

"If something was moving, for example, a human..." The male dog looked towards the female.

"We'll make sure it NEVER moves again!" The female finished, looking towards the male and giving him a slight nod, which he returned.

Together, they leaped over the stations counter and turned to face you, their big, heavy axes swinging in sync as they approached you. Stopping just in front of your form, their eyes swept over the scenery in a suspicious manner, until the female caught you slightly shivering from the cold.

"Don't move an inch!" She yelled as she swung her axe at you.

You freeze up at the sight of the heavy weapon in front of you, and embraced for impact. But instead of inflicting damage on you, it phased right through you, and seemed to be glowing a light blue aura.

Shifting your eyes back to the female, you see she's quite surprised as to not having hit anything, and you took this opportunity to pet her. You don't know what compelled you to do so, but you definitely did not regret your actions.

"I've been pet! Pat? Pet? Pot?" She exclaims, repeating those three words over and over in a confused and startled manner.

"What about me?" The male asked sadly, in which you pet him too.

After they had both calmed down and returned to their stations, (saying something about needing dog treats?), you continued on your journey. You walked for awhile before spotting Papyrus up ahead.

"Papyrus!" you yelled excitedly, running up to meet him. He looked up at you and smiled.

"HEY KIDDO." You stop in front of him, panting a bit trying to catch your breath, "YOU SEEM TO BE DOING PRETTY WELL FOR YOURSELF. YOU HAVEN'T GOT INTO ANY TROUBLE, HAVE YOU?"

You shake your head, standing a little taller once your breathing had evened, "No, well, there were these two dogs a little while back that gave me a scare, but nothing to bad."

"OH YEAH, DOGAMY AND DOGARESSA, THEY WORK WITH ME AND SANS. HEY, THAT REMINDS ME," He looks down at you, an amused expression on his face.

"YOU DO KNOW HOW BLUE ATTACKS WORK, RIGHT?" You shake your head no.

"WELL, WHEN A MONSTERS WEAPON IS GLOWING BLUE, YOU STAY STILL SO IT WONT HURT YOU. THINK OF A STOP SIGN, A STOP SIGN IS RED, RIGHT?" You nod your head, giggling a little at his way of explaining it to you.

'WELL, WHEN ATTACKING, THINK ABOUT BLUE STOP SIGNS INSTEAD."

Thinking back to your fight with Dogamy and Dogaressa, you vaguely remember a blue outline around Dogaressa's axe, that's why it fazed through you!

"Thanks Papyrus!"

"NO PROBLEM KID, NOW GO CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY."

"Will do, bye!"

And with that, you continue on, head high and smile wide.



Until you slipped on ice.
