Sleep and stars are the best combination
A cold breeze flows into a certain purple hedgehogs room, making her shiver and pull up the back and white checked blankets. She's moving out of her mums house tomorrow. This place... will cherish her fair share of memories and she wishes she can take very single one and put them in a cardboard box just like her other possessions. Lilac is a 18 year old female purple hedgehog. She's Sapphire the hedgehog's only daughter. She's moving into an apartment in a different city to her original home. After an cartoon producer saw her work in her sketchbook she was hired as an helper in his company. She was always a good drawer. She was lucky to find a way of finding money when she is so young. Her mum, Sapphire, was so proud of her she was brought to tears when she had to move out, though with her powers she could visit her in seconds. Lilac could not remember her real dad but she knew of Sapphire's secret boyfriend. It was forbidden but he was her father figure, she had never met him for safety reasons but she knew of him and she knew he was with her to pretect her at times. Lilac looks out the window, gazing at the moonlit sky. That a trait she got from her mum, Sapphire is known for her obsession with the moon and space in genral. Lilac loves to star gaze and sketch the night sky as well as learn about the constellations and start signs. Wrapping her blankets around herself, she watches the stars until she falls asleep. She can't help but feel someone else is doing the same.
Warren, a brown and black fox, wakes up from sleep, eyes lit with his magic. The living room furniture is floating, surrounded in a green glow. His hand makes a fist as he huffs, gasping for air. He can feel sweat drip down his forehead. Slowly, he gains control of himself, setting everything down slowly, careful not to make a sound even though he's screaming inside. He flings himself off the couch, opening the door as silently as he can. Running to the edge of his porch, Warran drinks in the fresh air greedily, staring at the stars. The little pinpricks of light that are his eyes flick across the sky, taking in the view, burning it into his mind. He could feel he was not the only one looking up at the night time sky. His fear had disappeared and was replaced with warmth. He had always took comfort from the stars, knowing someone, somewhere was looking at them too. Warren takes in a deep breath and goes back inside wiping his brow with the sleeve of his hoodie and leaning back to take a good look at what he had been building. He gives a dark chuckle when he sees what he had made--a telescope.
Sweeping the minuscule telescope to the side of the desk, Warran takes in a deep breath gazing over the stray papers on his desk and he groans. Sketches, measurements, and just scrap paper cluttered the small workbench. His eyes flashes green for a moment, as if to clear it off, but then he shrugs and leans back in his chair. Too much effort. And besides, using his magic brought back some... questionable memories. Sighing, he spins his chair around in a circle. guess I'm too tired, he thinks to himself, chuckling. Looking at the clock on the wall above his desk, his chuckles die out. It's early morning. With a surge of effort, Warran pushes himself off of his chair and heads for the living room. Shaking his head, he walks over to the couch and collapses on top of it's springy cushions. Fumbling for the remote, he turns on the TV, careful to keep the volume down. Nothing interesting is on, but he still can't fall asleep. The only time he gets to rest is during his frequent naps, which means for most of the day he's drained of energy. Warran has wondered, more than once, about how he's kept his job. And he would gladly sleep at normal hours, except... he can't. He just can't. Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath. He would try to fall asleep. At least for tonight. His weary body greedily accepts his position on the cushions, and spirals deep into sleep.
