Boyfriend and Girlfriend

Lucy stayed awake until the sun rose. Around 11:00 there was a knock at the front door. She didn't answer because she knew exactly who it was. Her mother answered and Lucy could hear faint voices. She knew Dylan was walking up the stairs to her room. There was a knock at the door. She didn't say anything, but the door opened anyway. Dylan's tear-stained face appeared from behind the door. "I'm... Sorry" he whispered after sitting on Lucy's bed and covering his face with his hands. Lucy stayed silent. She watched Dylan cry into his hands. She still loved him like a brother, but she knew he still loved her like a girlfriend. Finally Dylan spoke again. "Be my girlfriend." He mumbled "What?" Lucy asked astonished. "Be my girlfriend." Dylan repeated. "I...I can't" Lucy replied. "You have to choose" he said "Either be my girlfriend or don't be my friend at all. Dylan was no longer crying. Just looking sternly into Lucy's blue eyes. Lucy couldn't speak. Did she really have to make this decision? "I'll be your girlfriend" she finally said. Dylan didn't speak, but he pushed his lips to hers and started kissing her again.

A few days passed. Lucy was miserable. Was this really how life was going to be? Really? All Dylan wanted to do with her was kiss. All the time. But Lucy didn't want to lose his friendship. Now she could nearly remember how he was before. They used to have so much fun together.

One night, Dylan came over to Lucy's house. He came into her room without her permission and got into her bed. Lucy woke up. "Why are you doing this to me?!" She screamed. He shushed her and started kissing her again. She hated this. "She pulled away. "Get out!" "Get out right now!" "I never want to see you again!" She shoved Dylan away from her. And not long after she saw him stumble out the door, she heard a door slam downstairs.
