Admitting the Truth
Drops of water landed on Lucy's face as Dylan jumped into the freezing lake water. "Hey!" She exclaimed. "You could've gotten my book wet!" Lucy set her book down on the grass. "How do you read anyway?" "It's the middle of the night!" Dylan pointed out. "Whatever.." Lucy mumbled. "Come on in! The water's great!" Her best friend exclaimed "Fine! What have I got to lose?" She ran up to the edge of the water, feeling it with her bare toes. The cold water splashed onto her feet just before she dove into the dark liquid.---
An hour passed before Dylan held Lucy's head in his hands. "Lucy, I have to tell you something." He said "Sure, anything!" Lucy replied. "I love you." "Aww, that's sweet! I love you too!" She said "No, Lucy!" Dylan yelled. "I really, really love you." Lucy just sat there, astonished. She couldn't speak. All she could feel was the grass between her fingers and Dylan's hands on the sides of her head. "I...I..." She stammered. Dylan didn't give her a chance to speak. He slowly moved his mouth towards hers. Soon they were kissing. Full on kissing. This wasn't what Lucy wanted. She didn't have a boyfriend, but she didn't want her best friend to be her boyfriend! He was like her brother. She didn't move through the whole kiss because she was too surprised. How did this happen? How? Dylan was French kissing her. Dylan. Of all people.
