Chapter 37: Alan Dennis
After an hour of getting on the highway and driving to the car wash to clean out the van, I was now back on the highway aiming towards the grocery store. There was a small grocery store on the other side of the lake. It was the place Aunt Esther usually would go. I pulled up on the small road and was driving straight to the store. I saw a bunch of cars already parked in the parking lot. Wasn't very much of a parking space for me until I saw an empty space at the end. I pulled up into the space and parked the van. I turned off the engine, grabbed the keys and got out. Locking the van up and putting the keys in my pocket, I now started making my way inside the store. There was a man standing outside the double, sliding doors. He wore a white shirt, black leather jacket and faded blues jeans with black boots. He had a cigarette in his mouth and blowing out smoke. With the sound of my shoes scraping against the pavement, he turned his head in my direction and saw me. A smirk came across his face as he watch me enter the store. I rolled my eyes to myself, thinking this man was going to follow me in. According to my concern, I was right. He did follow me in. Great.
I looked over my shoulder to see him directly starring at me. I rolled my eyes at him and reached over for a cart. I pulled the cart out from the others and started to walk over towards the fruit and vegetables. I heard the clink of the man's boots as he followed a few yards behind me. I didn't bother to pay him any attention. I wanted to give him the satisfaction that I wasn't interested in anything he was going to say or do. If he tried to pull something on me, he was probably going to be one of the lucky ones that actually lived. I didn't have any weapon on me to strike him with if he did pull something. The chances were he had a fifty percent chance to live. Only thing I could do was if he did try to pull something, I can just beat the hell out of him.
I picked up a bag of oranges without a word. I scanned the over and placed the in the cart. I continued on with the grocery shopping, picking up random things that maybe my family would enjoy eating. I picked up a box of Cookie Crisps because I knew it was Glen's favorite cereal. I put the cereal in the cart and continued on. Everywhere I went, the man was still behind me. I didn't have to look to see if he was, the sound of his boots gave it away. If he was going to make his move, he better make it soon because I'm starting to get patient. Having someone follow you around was very annoying.
I continued on strolling down the aisles and continued picking up more groceries for the house. So far, I had everything I could possibly think of; eggs, milk, juice, cereal, bread, pancake mix, oranges, a few steaks (for Uncle J.C. and Uncle Michael), a package of hot dogs, cake mix, vegetable oil, a can of salsa dip, one bag of tortilla chips and a bag of Hot Cheetos. Next, I grabbed a bag of chocolate chip cookies because I knew Uncle Leatherface enjoyed them. Actually, that was probably the only thing he ate.
"Excuse me Miss!", I heard a male voice say from behind me.
I turned my head and looked back to see that man walking up towards me now. Great, now's the time to make his move, just as I'm about to leave.
"May I help you?", I replied sternly.
"I was wondering if I can offer you an opportunity to become a member of my club.", he smiled. He held up a white card with the words: White Horse, written across it.
"White Horse?", I questioned. "What kind of club name is that?"
The man seemed offended from my question, but he then answered. "It's an all man's club."
"An all man's club? Then why are you offering me to join?"
"To be one of your newest dancers. With a sexy body likes yours, I'm sure you are able to shake that ass of yours and earn cash."
In my head, I was laughing at what he said. If my dad was here right now, this man wouldn't be standing. Well, actually, he wouldn't be breathing for that matter. As for my boyfriend, Chatterer would probably hang him by a chain from where he stands. I pictured all kinds of torturous things that my family would do to this man. Even I pictured myself hurting him.
"Hm, sounds interesting.", I smiled with a evil glint.
"Really?", his face brightened.
I nodded my head, coming up with a plan on how I was going to take him out with my bare hands. If only he knew what I had in store for him, he wouldn't be standing here in front of me.
"Well, how about I pay for this stuff you got here, and let me give you a ride back to my place. Then maybe we can settle on a agreement. Sound fair enough?", he asked.
I looked from him and then looked down at the pile of groceries in the cart. I thought about the money in my pocket, debating whether I should agree to the offer or not. I smirked and turned back to the man.
"Sure.", I smiled. "Sounds fair."
He smirked down at me and then offer to push the cart and head over towards the cash register to cash out. I followed close behind him, picturing how I was going to get him. I didn't have a weapon on me to strike, but maybe I could find one. A guy like him looked like the type to have a pocket knife on him. Maybe I can find out if he does. Usually a pocket knife would be in a man's back pocket. As I followed behind him, I studied his back pockets to see something press against the material. Something in his right, back pocket was there. Something long and rectangular. It had to be it, I sure hoped it was it.
I followed the man up towards the cash register. I smiled as I watched him place my groceries on the belt of the stall. The belt moved up and the lady behind the cash register began to ring up the items.
"How you all today?", she asked.
"Fine and how are you?", the man replied with a smile.
"I'm great, thanks."
The lady behind the cash register from what I watched, didn't pay any attention to the man. Suddenly, the man pulled out his wallet from his right, front pocket. I looked over and could see his driver's license.
Alan Dennis.
That was the man's name; Alan Dennis. Well, looks like Alan wasn't going to live much longer anyway. From according to my calculations, he only had fifteen minutes and forty three seconds to live.
After cashing out, I followed Alan out to the parking lot. He was about to go to his truck, but I stopped him.
"Where are you going?", I asked. "My ride is this way. Instead of catching a ride with you, I could just take my van and follow you back to your place."
Alan studied me for a moment, and I hoped he took my offer in order to make my plan work. If he didn't agree, I would have to come up with another plan to get him.
"Well, I can't think of a better way, but ok.", he smiled.
Great. Now my plan is into action.
"Great.", I smiled. "By the way, my name is Ashley; Ashley Voorhees."
I stuck my hand out to him, hoping he would shake it.
"Well, Ashley.", he said, taking my hand. "The name's Alan Dennis. By the way, Voorhees sounds familiar. Like I heard it before, but I just don't know where."
"Like a story or myth or something?", I smirked.
Alan maybe did heard of my name, but was probably referring to my father, Jason Voorhees. I was amazed at how well my dad's stories and name got around. He was famous for his well being. It's just a shame that no one knows the story of his daughter, Ashley Voorhees. One day, they will though. All victims will begin to know my name and when they do, they will fear me just like my father and I would do nothing just sit there and laugh.
"Yeah, I think.", Alan nodded. "I don't really know though, but it does sound familiar."
My smile grew wider and I released my hand from his. I grabbed the cart with my groceries in it and began to walk back to my van.
"I'll see you on the road.", I called over my shoulder.
I felt his eyes burn in the back of my head for I felt his starring eyes on me. I walked over to my van and pulled out the keys from my pocket. I pressed the unlock button and walked over to the slide doors. I slid the slide door open and put the groceries in the back seat. Once everything was in, I slid the side door closed and pushed the cart back up on the cement to just leave it there. I walked back to the van and got in. I put the keys in the ignition and turned on the engine.
The radio blasted and I quickly turned it down. I sighed to myself as I gripped the steering wheel in my hands. I began to think my plan over and how exactly I was going to do it. Thinking the plan was easy, but actually doing it was the challenging part. Just then, a car horn honked and it made me snap out of my thoughts. I looked over out my window to see Alan in his black truck. He waved over to me, motioning that he was moving out. I nodded my head at him and began to back up. Now, I was following Alan out of the parking lot and out onto the high. Now, my plan has begun. I thought back to the calculations in my head and thought about how much time Alan had left to live. He approximately had ten minutes and thirty three seconds now.
After seven minutes of following Alan, I realized I was further away from Caroga lake then I thought I was. I was now heading towards Coopers Town, whatever that was. There wasn't that much houses around or any other building for that matter. Now would be the perfect time to put my plan into action. Without thinking, I sped up a little bit and without warning, I bumped my van into Alan's truck. Alan stopped his truck; bad mistake and I ended up crushing into his truck and causing him to move out the way. The back of his truck was messed up, but I could care less. I heard Alan yelling.
"Man what the hell are you doing!", He called out the window.
I rolled my eyes and continued crashing in against his truck. His truck started to swerve and caused him to run into a ditch. I giggled and drove past his truck a couple yards up ahead. I came to stop, I put the van in reverse and drove back. I saw Alan clumsy, get out the truck. He stumbled a little bit, but regained himself as he saw my van coming back. He had blood trailing down from his head. The blood covered half of his face and just seeing this, made me laugh.
"You stupid bitch! Look what you did!", he shouted.
I smirked. I stopped the van in place and turned the wheel towards where Alan was standing. He watch me stop and then suddenly, he began walking in a anger manner towards me. Bad idea Alan, very bad idea. Putting the van in drive, I stomped my foot down on the gas and before I knew it, I took off full speed, aiming towards Alan. Before Alan could respond, I hit him and he ended up flying and rolling on top of my van. I heard him roll and fell off. I stopped the van and looked back to see him flat on the ground. He wasn't moving, so I figured maybe he was dead, but I wasn't going to risk taking chances.
I stopped the van, and put it in reverse. I drove the van back full speed and ran over Alan's body. The sound of bone crushing and something squishy smashing was heard. I looked up over head and saw Alan's body nothing but a flat, bloody pile of mess. His head was flat and blood and bits and pieces of his brain were squished over the pavement. His lower legs were flat also. I couldn't help, but smile since this was my first time seeing somebody ran over.
I parked the car, but didn't bother to turn the engine off. I got out the van and walked over to Alan's squished body. I smiled and kicked his side.
"Asshoe.", I smiled. I bent down on my knees and dig my hands in his pockets. I pulled out a wallet, toothpick, lighter and last, my favorite, his pocket knife. I tucked his pocket knife in the side rim of my sweats. I dug into his wallet and took out all the cash he had. His toothpick, I had pressed inside his mouth As for his lighter, I held it in my hands firmly. I ran my thumb over the smooth surface of it. Just looking back and forth between Alan and the lighter in my hands, I decided to just burn his truck up and leave his body the way it was. Gasoline, from what I could hear, was already dripping from the pipes underneath it. The truck was going to blow any minute. I lighted the lighter and threw it at the truck. I quickly ran back to the van and put it in reverse. Speeding back as far I can, the truck suddenly blew up. Bit and pieces of the truck flew every where with fire on them. I smiled.
I saw a glimpse of a fire ball fall on Alan and started to light him up. Alan's body was now covered in fire. He was burning up and I didn't bother to think twice about it. Realizing that I was the only one on this road, I roared the Van up, and began to drive back all the way towards home.
