Duel Day 1

AMETHYST'S POV

It felt like the first day we where picked. Many guards came in a and escorted us to a giant pavilion looking place. The floor was glass, and it was a circular arena. 1/4 of the arena was rocks. 1/4 was water, and so on for every element. I caught my breath. I saw Zane and sat next to him in the bleacher looking seats that spiraled around the arena going upwards. Zane caught my eye. I was defiantly scared. "Don't be nervous." He said. "I'm not." I lied. He laughed, and I found myself doing the same. Everyone else was dead serious. "Welcome to the first day of duels!" Exclaimed a lady. She was sitting down next to the four Elementors. "Fire shall pick first." She spoke. The fire Elementor looked around and checked his list of apprentices. "Ashe." He said. I gasped. My roommate looked shaken as she made herself to the fire section. Earth called a guy named Racor, water called a girl I knew from practice Melody Shire. She was first picked! The wind Elementor hesitated. "Not my brother!" I thought. It wasn't my brother. It was Cristine Stripes. I had never seen her before, but she looked well trained and confident.

AIRION'S POV

They explained the rules. Last one standing wins. You can surrender if you can't take it anymore, and that would count as a loss. Maiming was allowed. "Let the duel BEGIN!" Yelled the lady. Ashe, my sister's roommate made a flame and launched it at Racor. He blocked it off with a stone wall that he made. He threw sharp stone spikes at Melody, but she froze them and they shattered. This was getting intense. I sat at the edge of my seat. Cristine Stripes made a blast of air at surprised Racor. He smashed against the wall and Melody threw frozen spikes at him. He rolled over, but one impaled his shoulder. He clutched it and hobbled behind his stone wall. While Melody was admiring her work, Ashe threw a fireball at her face. Melody screamed as the fire hit her on the cheek. She used water, but there was a gigantic burn running along her face now. Cristine made a wave of air through the ground, knocking both Ashe and Melody off their feet. Racor had surrendered. Melody got up, but Ashe was first. She trew a flaming spike at Melody's heart and she dropped down. Ashe gaped. "I-I killed..." She had no time to talk. Cristine smashed Ashe against a wall. Cristine prepared for the final blow. Ashe got up and with all her might made a gigantic fire sphere and blew it all at Christine she dropped down. Ashe had won.
