No matter what

ZANE'S POV

I was walking around the lake near midnight when I heard running footsteps. "Zane! What are you doing so late!" Amethyst exclaimed. "Thinking..." I replied. She laughed. "I can't really go in my dorm." Amethyst spoke sadly. "Ashe?" I instantly said. She looked away, but I could tell she was at the verge of tears. "She... She's different now." She said in a hoarse voice. I looked at her hurt expression. "It's all just.. Too much." Aria... Might change too and I'm gonna change... And Airion, and Dawn and..." She burst into tears. She cried until the red specks in her eyes faded leaving her  green eyes sorrowful and full of sadness. I pulled her into a hug and she kept crying harder and harder. We all knew we would get called the next day. There was nothing we could do.

AIRION'S POV

I was just walking with Dawn like we always do, out in the training room at night. We where very silent. "Do you think I'm going to live?" I finally asked, breaking the silence. She looked away. "I hope." She muttered. "I hate it when you actually get used to where you are, and get friends and meet great people..." I started. "And then you have to go." Dawn finished my sentence. "If we both get called..." Dawn said. "You can win." I was shocked. "What?!" I spat. "You have your sister! She needs you!" She said firmly. "But... I need someone else too." I said. "Who." She said almost crying. "I... I really... Dawn, I need you!" That's the place where Dawn and I had our first kiss. It was a horrible time, but a great moment.

ARIA'S POV

I felt so much confidence in the arena, yet I still don't know how I managed to kill people. I screamed in my lonely dorm. I lifted my hand and saw that it was shaking violently. I didn't know what to do. I had friends. I would never want to scare them. Every time I tried to think of something peaceful, an image of me in the arena popped into my mind. I would get through it. "I'm gonna get through it." I repeated to myself. "I will." I thought. No matter what it takes.
