Creepy Stalker
“Megan, I hate rainy days!” Walter fussed, stomping his dinosaur rain boots. His two year old face glared up at me. I sighed. “FIne. Then we’ll go inside.” We stepped into our warm house. Why am I always stuck watching my little brother? It’s so unfair.. I wish there was something I could do about it, but of course, my parents will never realize that I need my own time BY MYSELF! Being the oldest stinks. Sometimes I wish I was the youngest. Walter is such an angel to my parents, but to me he is the most annoying devil ON THE PLANET! Because of him, I had to miss my dance recital because I had to watch my poor little sick brother.
As I was lost in these thoughts, there was a knock at the door. Allison was waving through the window. Just great. The most annoying girl in my class was paying me a visit. She was soaked. I didn’t want to be rude, so I let her in. She plopped right down on my mother’s favorite velvet couch. It was RUINED. What do I even tell my parents?! Well, I’m grounded… For sure.
“Hi…” I say awkwardly. “What are you doing here?”
“I was at my knitting club, but it got rained out. I saw your house and I thought, my best friend won’t let me wait out the rain!”
“Well, umm, I’m not allowed to have people over when it’s just my brother and I. And… you ruined my couch.”
“I’ll knit you a blanket!”
“That’s alright, I’m good.”
“But I made one just for you!”
Allison pulls out a huge, ugly, hot pink blanket from out of her bag, which she also knit.
“Wow, Allison, I don’t know what to say…” That was the truth.
Putting her arm around me, Allison grinned goofily. “I know it’s perfect. It goes with your room!”
She runs upstairs to my bedroom. Walter and I share a glance. This is just a typical Saturday morning for me.
