Cocoa has a Sleepover

Cocoa has a Sleepover
"Wait. We need to tell mom." I told Cocoa. I looked around for a phone until Cocoa pulled an iPhone out from under a pink elephant. It looked like a teddy bear.

"Number?" Cocoa asked. "555-624-8842" I answered. Cocoa tapped a few times on her phone and then tapped a few more times. Then I heard a smooth whoosh and some beeping. The phone rang.

"Me and Lily are having a sleepover. Come for lunch." Cocoa hung up.

"I told her. Want to make cookies?" she asked. I was dying to see her recipe. "Sure." I said. She pulled out some ingredients from the kitchen and returned. "First, you do this." Cocoa instructed, cracking an egg. I copied her.

After the cookies were in the oven, Cocoa rushed into a room covered with posters and slid under the bed. I dropped to my knees and peered under. She was gone! I kept watching.

A few seconds later, I gave up and looked around the apartment. I felt a tap on my shoulder and jumped. Cocoa was right behind me with a smile on her face. "I know my way around this apartment." she said.

Cocoa asked me if I wanted to play chess, and I accepted. She beat me in 6 minutes. A timer dinged and Cocoa ran into the kitchen. "Cookies!" she shouted. I followed her. She was taking the cookies out of the oven and placing them on a plate.

"Want to watch a movie?" Cocoa asked. I nodded. Cocoa ran into a large room with a couch, a TV, and a huge stack of comics. She pulled open a drawer and tossed out a sock, a 'Mermaid Fairy Hamster' comic book ("Ooh, I like this issue!"), a barrel of 'Dungeons & Dragons' miniatures, and a fuzzy dice before selecting a movie.

'The Haunting of the Viking Opera.' "It's actually not that scary unless you are afraid of ghost pirates." Cocoa told me. I grabbed a red pillow and leaned against it. Cocoa pressed play and we sat back to watch it.
