Chapter 2
Daniela and Melissa got off the bus once again for another day of school. Daniela had her hair up in a ponytail. It is now the second day of middle school as 7th graders for Melissa and Daniela. When they got inside the school, Daniela tested her locker again hoping for an achievement. It wouldn't budge. "Dang it!" Daniela whispered loudly and she lightly punched her locker. "Fine, be that way," Daniela said as she turned around, her eyes closed and eyebrow twitching. Daniela looked around the hallway again, then she found a teacher. "Excuse me, can you help me open my locker? I am really new to this," Daniela asked with a small awkward laugh. The teacher went over and help Daniela with her locker. "Thank you very much!" Daniela exclaimed happily. Daniela emptied her stuff into the locker and gathered the stuff for her first period. "Hmm, this time I have Social Studies first. Time to get to class!" Daniela said, excitedly running up the stairs to class.Daniela walked in the classroom. She looked around viewing some her classmates, then she found a seat and sat down. The bell rang and the teacher went to the front of the room. "Hello students, I am Mr. Derail. To start off today's class, we will do a survey to help each and everyone of you to get to know each other. Each of you will go around the classroom and see if anyone has done any of the following activities, this summer, on the worksheet. For example, if you were to ask me if I went to the beach this summer I would say yes. Then you would write my name down in the box that has the question. Any questions?" One girl raised her hand. "What is your question?" asked Mr. Derail as he started to pass out the papers. "Can we put our own name in one of the boxes?" she asked. "Yes you may, but only once just like everyone else. You can put someone's name on there once. And what is your name?" replied Mr. Derail. "Alexia Tamer," She answered. Alexia had brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a green sweater, blue pants, and black shoes. "Alright. Any other questions?" Mr. Derail asked looking around the room. "Nope, okay you all may begin," He said.
Everyone got up and started walking around the classroom. Most people knew each other, as for Daniela she didn't know anyone except for one or two people, but they weren't really her friends. Daniela knew she wasn't going to get even half of the page done. As she was looking at the sheet to find somewhere to put her name, someone came up to her. "Hey, your name is Daniela, right? I am Allison Damon. Hana has told me about you," Allison informed. "Uh, yes. Hana has told me about you too. Nice to meet you," Daniela replied bowing her head down, not knowing what else to do. Allison had medium dirty blonde, golden hair. She wore a small jean jacket, a neon yellow shirt and jeans with orange shoes. "Oh, uh, you don't have to do that," Allison said with her hands out. Daniela quickly put her head back up. "Oh, um," Daniela said searching through her paper for something to ask, "Have you gone to a different state during the summer?" "Yeah, I went to Georgia to see my grandparents for a week. How about you?" Allison asked. "Yes, I have. I went to Virginia for a small vacation," Daniela responded. They both wrote each other's name in the box. "So what do you have next period?" asked Daniela. "Language Arts," answered Allison. "Cool, me too! Lets go together," Daniela said happily.
Unexpectedly a boy came walking inside the classroom. "Sorry I'm late," He said. "Yes, you are five minutes late, where have you been? What is your name?" Mr. Derail scolded. "Yes, I am very sorry, I woke up late. My name is Louis Lucas," He apologized. Daniela stared at Louis. Louis had really dark brown hair which made it look black and his eyes were dark brown. He had a black sweater. Louis wore jeans and black shoes, he was slim and was a bit taller than Daniela. The minute Daniela saw Louis, she could feel her heart beating. Mr. Derail handed Louis the worksheet and told him what to do. Daniela was still staring, Louis looked over at Daniela. Daniela blushed and quickly turned around. Daniela put her hands to her face, still blushing. I have never seen that boy before, he's cute. Daniela thought to herself. "Um, Daniela, is something the matter," Allison wondered as she tried to look at Daniela's face. Daniela quickly turned back around to face Allison, waving her hands. "Oh it's nothing!" "Alright. Come on, lets go find some other people to ask," advised Allison. "Ok," said Daniela.

The bell rung again, and Daniela went down to her locker for the next period. As Daniela was walking down the stairs, she thought. I wonder what happened to
me back in Social Studies when that guy Louis came into the classroom. My heart started to beat really hard, I could feel it. My face felt so red when he looked at me. Daniela sighed. She made it to her locker and tried once again to open it herself. This time she succeeded. Yay, I finally got it! she thought to herself as smiled. As she was gathering her stuff, she smelled something, it was like cologne. Daniela looked next to her. There she saw Louis standing right next to her opening his locker. She was so startled that she almost jumped. Louis looked at her. Daniela started to blush again. "Hi, you must be my locker buddy. I'm Louis, what's your name?" Louis asked smiling. Daniela started to blush even harder. "Um, I'm . . . uh . . ," stuttered Daniela, but she was interrupted. "Come on, Daniela! We'll be late for Language Arts!" shouted Allison. "So that's your name, nice to meet you, Daniela," smiled Louis. "Uh, nice to meet to you too, Louis. Bye," Daniela said as she closed her locker and left with Allison.
