Chapter 10

It's now December and its almost winter break. Daniela entered study hall. She was excited to be there because Louis was in her study hall. Daniela sat in her desk. Louis came and sat in front of her. Kate sat right next to him. Mrs. Ram came up to the front of the class. "Ok everyone, I have to go to a meeting now. Mrs. Serb will be watching you guys while I am gone." the teacher announced. Soon after Mrs. Ram left, Mrs. Serb made her announcement. "You guys can talk to each other as long as you're quiet and working. Now get going." Kate quickly turned around and faced Daniela. "Daniela. I'm bored." she complained. Louis turned around as well. "Kate your always bored." Louis sneered. "Shut up!" Kate laughed. "Hmm, lets talk about something interesting . . . ." Kate suggested. She thought for a moment. Kate smirked. She gave Daniela a face. "So Daniela, who do you like?" she asked.
         Daniela sat at her seat as her face became bright red. Louis smiled. "Yeah tell us, who do you like?" he asked as he slowly came closer to Daniela. Daniela started to shake. "Uh . . . . . I don't want to say who . . ." Daniela said in embarrassment. "Why not Dani? You can tell us." he asked Daniela. OMG why is he asking me? I am sorry Louis, if it wasn't you, I would tell you. My heart. It's beating really fast. Is that bad? My face feels really hot, Daniela said over and over in her head. "Daniela, tell us. Come on." Kate begged. Daniela bit her lip as she sank lower and lower in her chair. "I am sorry I can't tell you!" Daniela apologized. "Why not??" asked Louis. Kate closely examined Louis and Daniela. "It's embarrassing . . . ." Daniela replied. "Why is it embarrassing?" Louis asked. "Cause it is!" exclaimed Daniela. Everyone turned at looked at Daniela. She blushed even harder. Kate tapped on Daniela’s shoulder and handed her a small note. Daniela carefully opened and read the note. "Is it Louis?" Daniela's eyes widened. She crumpled the paper in her hand and nodded her head. Louis looked at the both of them, confused. "You promise you won't tell?" asked Daniela, afraid at what might happen. "I pinky promise." Kate said as she handed Daniela her pinky and showed her other hand to prove she wasn't crossing her fingers. Daniela wrapped her pinky on Kate's.
          "What are you two talking about?" wondered Louis. "Oh nothing." Kate responded looking at Daniela. "Dani, who is it? Come on we are friends, you can tell me." pleaded Louis as he stared right into Daniela's eyes. "I am sorry Louis, I cannot tell you now." apologized Daniela. "Just tell me." begged Louis. "Okay. I'll tell you, not today but tomorrow, during lunch. Um at our lockers, alright?" Daniela said, finally giving in. Daniela felt even more scared than ever. "But . . ." Louis started. The bell rang. Daniela felt this sudden relief. She quickly jumped out of her seat, with her stuff in her hands, and rushed out the door. She suddenly ran into Allison. "Hi Daniela." greeted Allison. "Allison! I am so scared!" exclaimed Daniela. "What happened?" asked Allison, sounding worried. "Louis asked me who I liked!" replied Daniela. Allison looked shocked. Daniela quickly turned away and went to her locker. Wait! thought Daniela. Louis' locker is right next to mine! Daniela waited at the stairs until she saw Louis leave. Soon she ran towards her locker and quickly packed up. Daniela anxiously waited for Melissa. As they both walked to the bus, Daniela trembled and her face was flushed.
           "Daniela are you ok? Is something bothering you?" asked Melissa, as the bus entered their neighborhood. "Melissa I am fearing for my life!" exclaimed Daniela. Melissa looked concerned. "Louis asked me, during study hall, who I liked." added Daniela. "What did you say?" asked Melissa, anxiously wanting to know the details. "I said I didn't want to tell him." replied Daniela. "Did he force it out of you?" Melissa asked. "Not really, but I told him I would tell him tomorrow." said Daniela sheepishly. "No way Daniela. No way. Are you going to tell him?" asked Melissa. "I am going to have to." sighed Daniela. "Oh my gosh." signed Melissa. "I'll tell you how it goes tomorrow." said Daniela as they got off the bus. Melissa waved bye to Daniela. Daniela waved back.

         Daniela waited at her locker. It was already the next day, and Daniela's heart was beating fast. Daniela watched as Louis walked over to her. Her heart beat faster and faster. Daniela was very nervous. "So are you ready with your answer?" asked Louis, looking right into Daniela's eyes. "Yeah.” Daniela gulped. “The person that I like is you.” confessed Daniela. It was like everything was going in slow motion. Daniela watched as Louis' face slowly turned bright red. "Okay." said Louis sheepishly. The tension between them became awkward. Daniela's eyes stared into Louis' and Louis stared into Daniela's eyes. Louis' face was still red. "So . . . I guess you want to know who I like?" asked Louis. Daniela shyly nodded her head. "I really like you too." Louis whispered. Daniela blushed uncontrollably. Her face turned bright red. Louis quickly turned around and left.
             Daniela covered her face. OMG, I can’t believe this. She started to walk towards the lunch room. Daniela entered and quickly walked over to her lunch table. Everyone then stared at Daniela as she came. "Daniela, what took you so long?" asked Hana. "Yeah, tell us." agreed Alexia. "Louis asked me who liked, I told him I liked him. Then he told that he liked me too." replied Daniela, her face still covered. Hana's face turned red. "Oh Daniela, so that's what happened." said Hana. Daniela nodded her head. She suddenly jumped out of her seat. "Hana come with me." Daniela told Hana. Hana was confused. "Wait where . . ." "Just come with me please." Daniela said. She looked right into Hana's eyes. "Alright." sighed Hana. Daniela and Hana walked over to Melissa's table.  Daniela knelled between Melissa and Felix. "I told him." Daniela whispered. "You did! What did he say??" asked Melissa. "He said he liked me too!" replied Daniela excitedly. "Oh my gosh!" shouted Melissa. Melissa hugged Daniela. "Wait, who?" asked Felix, wondering what was happening. "Louis!" Daniela said. Felix bit his lip. Daniela then pulled Hana back to their table.

              Daniela smiled brightly as she walked back her locker to put away her lunchbox. She noticed as she was opening her locker, Louis walking towards her. He stood next to her and stared into her eyes. Daniela looked at him. "So . . . do you want to go out?" Daniela blushed. She shyly nodded her head as she whispered yes. Louis hid his smile and joined his friends. Daniela quickly ran over to Hana and Vimi. "Guess what?" Daniela asked. "What?" they both asked. "Louis asked me out!" said Daniela excitedly. "What did you say??" asked Vimi. "I said yes!" replied Daniela. Hana and Vimi shrieked in happiness. They hugged Daniela tightly. Daniela blushed
and smiled. So, my life changes now, doesn't it? Daniela thought happily.
