What Is Your Overall Opinion on Steven Universe? Steven Universe is a tv show on Cartoon Network about a young boy who lives with his three guardians, Garnet, Amythest, and Pearl. We adventure with his through his life and learn just what its like to be Steven Universe, whether its going to the Big Donut, or learning how to use his gem powers. Through the series, the fandom get more than expected when it touches tough topics and gives us heartwarming moments. Lets not forget the songs! How do you feel about this show? If you havent watched the show, is their anything you want to know?

The animation and art is a mess. The whole ‘free to draw how you want’ art thing makes it inconsistent and overall unprofessional. There’s also too much filler. Other than that, it’s a pretty good show.

I understand why you say that. Yeah, "Free to Draw" aint professional. But we should put into consideration that they have a pretty small group to be making this show. We gotta give them some credit. Thanks for your answer!

Hi, this is coming from a not hardcore fan of this show, so i have been jumping around with many episodes and still somehow knowing what's going on. In my opinion, i had liked this show from the start. I remember when the "frybo" episode was playing, me and my sister were watcihng it and my mom comes around saying "this is a stupid show". Years later and this "stupid show" has gotten a good amount a fans who are dedicated to this lovely piece. I love the stories and songs, but See More my favorite thing about it is the relationships between each and every character. It is all just wonderfully written. Who knew a couple of gay space rocks and a young boy could steal all of our hearts.
Beautifully put! I never thought this ahow would be so popular during its start. I, personally was and am not thrilled with the first episodes. Now, they make a bit more sense wth how far we've gotten, but they coulve been better.
I remember the episode "Frybo". Gosh that thing scared me so much.

I like the show overall, but I think that the fandom has gone a bit out of control. Which is okay. All fandoms do that at some point.

It's quite an amazing show. The plot is just...WOW. Especially after Change Your Mind, man that episode was L I T. Since the beginning, it has been full of fun adventures and great characters and their development. Steven goes from trying to like be Rose Quartz to being himself. Figuring out his mom's past. And along the way he grows and makes great friends. The show shows diversity in characters. It teaches you to see your true value. The characters have their flaws. But if every See More porkchop were perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs. I can see why some people say the fandom is toxic. Every fandom has that toxic part of it. But there's so much more depth to the show, from the very start to the latest episode. Also, the music is G R E A T. And it acknowledges LGBTQ+ in subtle ways.

I used to literally stan this show but not anymore, reasons are:
1. The inconsistent animation. If any other storyboard artist(s) would do this the show would be cancelled immediately
2. Rebecca Sugar being unprofessional, she drew EENE porn (which, mind you, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy is a KIDS show. Not to mention that young children who have access to the internet follow her social media.)
3. Very long hiatuses the blame doesn't fully go on CN as it's partially her and CN's fault.
4. See More Bad pacing (I don't even think I need to elaborate on this one, CYM has bad pacing as well, though I can sort of understand why)
5. Random episodes inbetween arcs (plenty of examples of this)
6. Doesn't thoroughly convey the message that ultimately what Rose/Pink did was WRONG
7. Peridot becoming the butt of every joke
8. Lots of arcs have good build-up but messy endings.
9. Steven's personality only really adapting to whatever is going on at the time.
10. Too much fan service at times.
11. In CYM doesn't really elaborate on who Pink Steven is. Steven pretty much says it is him but then why does Pink Steven take the shape of Rose and Pink? It's lots of unanswered questions with who Pink Steven is supposed to be and therefore weakens whatever message was trying to be conveyed.
Reasons I do like the show:
1. Awareness for abuse victims
2. Actual LGBT rep that doesn't queerbait
3. Gorgeous art/animation when effort is actually put in.
4. Non-forced racial diversity
5. Body positivity.
6. Musicals!! Which I adore. I still know each song by heart.
7. Pearl!
8. Making me realize that I'm probably not completely straight.
9. Polyamorous rep.

It's a really good show! but some parts of the fandom ruined it.... :/
I can agree with that. Thats why I usually avoid the fandom. I love the show and to have it ruined by fans like me, I cant let that happen for me.
