It is cool. But I only really watch it for the sake of Flim. I'm no longer a fan of MLP if he turns good in the new episode. :( Anyway, to answer your question. I don't know why it's so popular. It's not really that great. Probably because when something gets popular, everyone ALWAYS likes it even if it's rubbish. I prefer LPS even though it gets so much hate.
