In the Hunger Games Does Prim Die? I read part of Mockingjay but it got so sad I stopped. My friend told me Prim dies. Does she?

Basically, snow is using the Capitol's children as a layer of protection from the rebels. Someone drops parachutes down on them and they pick them up. The packages explode and district 13's medics go in to help, with Prim amongst them. She and Katniss make contact one last time. And that's when the rest of the parachutes go off. Prim dies in the explosion.

To be honest, I don't know because i'm only 8, and my mom is reading The Hunger Games to see if it's appropriate (even though I've read the first two books and still convincing my mom theres no... uh, "close relationship actions" in Eclipse. Besides, I think I can read Breaking Dawn, (Even though I've read the Dream Dictionary SOO inappropriate but my parents let me read it). But, I think so. She was a nice kid.
