What is the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath? They sound the same to me but I know nothing about psychology or sociology.

yes there is,
a sociopath is someone who has a personality disorder and a psychopath is someone who uses social ability and charisma to deceive people

Psychopaths and sociopaths both apparently lack a conscience. Both will engage in behavior that harms others with no feeling of guilt or remorse, and rarely consider the risks to others implicit in their actions. i found this on a site, so theres really no difference!
