it’s not even that i’m agnostic, but i just hate organized religion. i hate the “do/believe, don’t think” dogma, i hate the inequality and hypocrisy, and i hate the heavy and irrelevant usage of the bible in arguments. the whole “holier art thou” behavior is such a massive turn off too. like, get off your high horse, you self-righteous jerk. honestly, the amount of people judged and persecuted for their belief or lack thereof is so gross. i’d just rather be without it. for every See More good christian, i can name you three awful ones.
just as many lives have been ruined by organized religion as there are lives that have been saved. if you follow one of them, then good on you!!!! i support that. but for me, it’s just something i’m not comfortable confiding in. i’d rather go to a certified therapist than talk to pastor. oh yeah, it’s not the religion itself. but what i meant by organized religion is the people who form or gather because of the faith, y’know? religion has done plenty of good for others, but the bad side of it has been so harmful to me in my life

I personally don’t even think it’s the religion, it’s the people half the time ugh. then again, I’m only familiar with christianity(and the Bible has been used incorrectly and to hurt minorities which isn’t,,,, okay at all) and the people can be,,,, terrible.
