I just finished Catching Fire and I'm really FURIOUS.
They kidnapped and lied to Katniss, separating her from Peeta and leaving him behind without a second thought. They kept her because they planned on using her as a sort of symbol; since Peeta was only useful to them in order to keep Katniss alive or whatever, they abandoned him. They have no humanity. Just... I HATE District 13.
I HATE President Snow.
But I can't help but feel a little sorry for the people in the Capitol. I mean, even though they are selfish, disgusting pigs, that's just how they were raised. They were lied to and squashed in wealth. I just get the feeling that a lot of the people there would've turned out a lot differently had they been raised in the Districts. You know?

It's just so annoying and awful! The way they use people (like they used Katniss without her knowledge or consent), treat people (like Katniss when they kidnapped her and left her one true love behind), and just plain act sickens me. Seriously, can't the future have some actual good guys?

Why is it that all dystopian future stories seem to get more depressing the longer you read?
Me reading Divergent: OMG THIS IS AWESOME
Me reading Insurgent: Cool but kind of sad I feel depressed
Me reading Allegiant: WOW THIS IS SO SAD *cries throughout the whole book* *shuns the world*
Me reading Hunger Games: This is actually a really AWESOME book I relate to Katniss so completely and totally it's INSANE
Me reading Catching Fire: This is sad and confusing and sort of depressing See More and I'm scared that Katniss is going mental...
I haven't read Mockingjay yet, but I'm hoping that it's good. May I just say that I hate District 13? Seriously. I am so fed up with rebellious groups that are just as manipulative and awful as the societies that they rebel against. Katniss was doing awesomazing. Standing for what she believed in when she needed to. Actually caring about people. Slowly, really falling in love with Peeta. Then she has to get kidnapped by stupid District 13. Sorry, I had to rant about that.

Allegiant is the worst book I have EVER read. And that's saying a lot, since I literally read all day every day.
