I really did not need to watch the video for Fake Your Death/the Greatest Hits trailer at eleven o'clock on a Friday night. I'm gonna rant about it below.
Firstly, I was in tears before even twenty seconds had passed. I just find this hard to believe. Like, for example, the other day, I got so annoyed at myself because of this: I thought, "Oh yeah, Future Hearts is out next month. Maybe there'll be a new My Chemical Romance album soon." I didn't even realise what I was thinking See More until after. This is just crazy. Sometimes I wish I hadn't discovered them after what happened, but honestly, I think it's better than having to deal with the event.
Now, onto the topic of Fake Your Death, and the breakup, and reunion theories.
As much as I hate to admit it and hate to think it, I just don't believe in a reunion. Look at the facts, guys. They have solo careers. They're each doing well, even without MCR.
I'd just love to believe in some of these theories. Some of them even seem plausible. There's a certain one I like, that stood out to me.
It says that before, Gerard said he wanted MCR to follow in the path of the Smashing Pumpkins. The person pointed out that they were together for twelve years, broke up for six, then reunited. If MCR were to do the same thing, the reunion would be in 2019 - the year Danger Days was set in.
Maybe there is some truth in that. Maybe it's just the twelve years thing that applies. I love that theory, but I just don't believe in it.
Then you've got the argument with the 'I'm not done' thing.
For those who don't know, at some point around 1:24 in Fake Your Death, Gerard can be heard saying, 'I'm not done'. Some people see this as a possible sign of MCR coming back.
To be honest, even if that has to do with anything, I think it's just to do with Gerard's solo career.
Sorry if I destroyed any of your dreams, these are just my thoughts. And you have to believe me, I want MCR to come back more than anything. I just don't think they will.
