Not Her Fault
Fancie's P.O.VI remember her.
I was the first friend she had.
Who she told all her secrets to.
Who she opened up to.
Who told me everything.
I knew it wouldn't be long until she snapped...but...I didn't expect like this.
I look up at the trees in the moonlight and sigh.
I became her friend in first grade. I was very jealous of her name.
'Scarlet Rose Smith. Beautiful.'
She was always bullied and at home...she took the blame for everything that happened.
She would come crying to me...only me.
I'm a year older than she is so she feels like my little sister.
Then...she moved.
We kept in contact for a while, but I'm not one for long distance things.
So when she had texted me...I had to tell her the truth.
I told her that she would always be the best friend I would remember, and I found a new best friend...but she would always be the first.
I never heard from her after that.
Until I saw on the news a murderer on the loose.
I could recognize the handwriting on the wall that they had shown, written in blood.
'It's not my fault...hmm...sounds like her...'
It was her...she snapped into something that won't ever go away.
'I wonder if she'll ever find me...I suppose I was too harsh when I had told her that I couldn't have a long distance friendship with her...'
Just as I was turning to look at my window, I saw her.
Scissors in one hand, glowing red eyes, her hair matted in blood, her body scrawny, scars all across her neck, her breathing is erratic and sharp, she has an evil malicious smile across her face, and her walk...too terrifying to describe.
I reach for my phone while keeping my eyes locked on her, but I saw her sprint to my front door.
'Did...did I lock the door?!'
I took my chances and ran with a baseball bat at hand, but I was met face to face with her.
"S-Scarlet...wha-...what happened to you," I said trembling in fear.
She chuckled darkly, "you know exactly."
I gasped at hearing her...she didn't have the voice that sounded like bells anymore...she sounded dark and husky.
She started laughing a bit more, "what's the bat for huh? Why don't you get your other friend to help you out?"
I started feeling bad, regretting what I had done to her.
"Scarlet...please...I'm sorry," I said scared down to my bones.
"It's not my fault," she said glaring at me, "you deserve to die."
She lunged at me at a surprising speed, quick enough to not let me able to block her.
I felt dizzy as my heartbeat had went up then dropped way down as blood went down my chest.
She had stabbed me at my vocal cords...even if I survived her...I could never speak again.
She then had a twisted smile as she pulled the scissors back and started cutting on my flesh as if it were paper.
I tried to scream but nothing came out, I tried to breathe but blood was blocking my airway, after a few minutes I fainted from the pain.
I then knew...
I wouldn't wake up again.
