Let’s Go!

Let’s Go!
“Haden, Jayla! Come on, we’re going to be driving through the night if you don’t hurry! Let’s go!” The twins groaned. They were going to spend the entire summer at their aunt’s house. The aunt they didn’t even know existed until just recently. It all happened when their grandma Bailey let it slip that their mom had a step-sister last October. Their mom had fainted.
Ever since then their mom had been obsessed with finding her step-sister. So obsessed that she forgot the twins’ birthday until a week after. They had spent every second of every day trying to learn more about her. So of course, after all of that work they had to spend some time with her. The twins were fine with that, like a week or
two, but NOT the entire summer. All they knew about their “aunt” was that her name was Teresa and that she didn’t like animals. Well that was one thing that they had in common. They had video chatted once and had decided that they could stay at her (Teresa’s) house. Haden and Jayla had only found out how long they would be staying

the day before their departure. Their mother thought the twins would be delighted but the news had the opposite effect. Jayla had to make upward of twenty calls to all of her friends and Haden had to tell his friends that he wouldn’t be joining baseball anymore. They both were met with the same questions. “Why? Can’t you stay? Are you comeing back? How could you not tell me?!?” And they both had a feeling that they’d have at least one less friend when they got back. With that depressing thought, they both were extremely less excited.
