The Encounter (Chapter 7)
Cinderpaw's P.O.V.I had just walked out of the Medicine Cat Den stretching. My throat was very dry so I decided to go to the lake and get a drink. I went to tell Longpelt where I was going, but I saw that she was talking to Whitestar about something. I decided to not interrupt them --since it was rude-- and just went out to the lake.

Normal P.O.V.
As Cinderpaw was padding through the middle of the forest she noticed that the Oak Trees started to look like Pine Trees. Cinderpaw was confused for a little while. By the time realization kicked in, she had gotten caught.
"HEY YOU!" Someone shouted at her making her jump in surprise/shock. When she turned to see who shouted she saw that it was an older Shadowclan apprentice. Since Cinderpaw didn't know how to fight, so she prayed to Starclan that nothing bad would happen.
"What are you doing on Shadowclan territory?" The older apprentice asked Cinderpaw. Cinderpaw knew the apprentice was a tom (a male) and she heard that Shadowclan toms were viscous. As she started to slowly backed away she scrambled to find the right words to say. "I w-was on my w-way to the l-lake when I found m-myself walking in your territory... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" Cinderpaw stuttered/exclaimed/explained fast. "Woah, woah, woah! Slow down your speaking! I could barely understand that!" The Shadowclan apprentice exclaimed. Cinderpaw apologized and said it again. The older apprentice nodded and went to introduce himself. "I'm Foxpaw, a Shadowclan apprentice. And you are?" "I'm Cinderpaw... A Medicine Cat apprentice..." Cinderpaw introduced herself next. "Do I need to help you to the lake?" Foxpaw asked Cinderpaw. "That'd be great! Thanks..." Cinderpaw replied. Foxpaw smiled and nodded as he turned and started to walk. "Follow me!" He shouted over his shoulder as he picked up his pace into a run. Cinderpaw immediately ran after the older Shadowclan apprentice, not wanting to get lost again.

About 5 minutes later the to apprentices made their way to the lake. Cinderpaw was fast, but not as fast as Foxpaw. She could barely keep up with him for Starclan's sake! 'He has to be part Windclan...' Cinderpaw thought as she tiredly sat down to get a drink of water. As Cinderpaw bent over to get a drink, a paw suddenly pushed her head down into the water, but only for a second as her head immediately darted back up out of the water. As Cinderpaw gasped for breath, Foxpaw was laughed his butt off. "Sorry- I didn't think you would get so scared!" Foxpaw laughed. Cinderpaw was too shocked to even care. She kind of just stayed sitting there staring at the water with wide amber eyes. Her face was soaked but that didn't matter now. As Foxpaw was calming down he noticed that she suddenly just stopped. "Hey... Are you ok?" Foxpaw asked Cinderpaw as her got up to walk over to her to check if she was ok. Cinderpaw just barely whispered, "Mother help... Nightstep don't... Please..." with wide teary eyes. Foxpaw got a little concerned so he decided to take Cinderpaw back to Thunderclan and explain everything.
