Still Ryan's POV
For that very reason I got up off the couch and drove to the hospital. Darcy came with me as he had nothing better to do. I felt nervous about seeing Laura again. I was quite a disgrace on Saturday. If I was her I would be angry, but I wasn’t her and as I walked into her ward her arms were wide out to hug me. She was crying, yet smiling.Back to normal – Samantha’s POV
Drew and I were sitting on the couch drinking milkshakes and watching TV. We had hardly talked but it didn’t feel awkward. Then suddenly I wanted Drew to be away from me. And Darcy. And everyone so that I wouldn’t seek attention from anyone. Jarrod’s words kept racing through my mind: you’re an attention seeker. You won’t refuse. You don’t care what happens to yourself. You don’t respect yourself. You get upset if you upset others. You can’t handle it. You break down. You lie, you cheat, you talk about others but if that comes back and bites you can’t stand it. So you make an easy target. I started crying by accident.
“Hey what’s up?” Drew asked moving a little closer to me.
“It’s nothing” I said edging away from Drew. “It’s just that, um, well, do you think that I’m attention seeking? Because you see Jarrod told me I was and that – “
“You’re not an attention seeker” Drew said.
“Then why are you here?” I asked.
“Because you’re a beautiful girl that needs some attention and cheering up. There’s a difference. You deserve the attention. Plus whatever Jarrod said doesn’t matter. He’s the real attention seeker not you.”
