“I’m sorry I’ll tell him to stop” I said to Darcy.
“I think you better, he sounds pretty annoyed. And while you’re at it” said Darcy.
“While I’m at it?” I said back. I could tell Darcy was trying to hold back his laughter.
“Put some clothes on” Darcy said laughing. I was relieved that Darcy knew it was a joke.
“I’ll talk to you later once I get him to shut up. I’ll call you back” I said to Darcy.
“Ok, bye babe.” Babe. Darcy just called me babe. Did this mean we were like a thing or were we still just friends? Maybe he called everyone babe, but I had a feeling that he didn’t.
“Are you going to tell me who that was?” Drew asked eagerly.
“No” I said smiling.
“Is it your boyfriend?” he said cheekily.
“No” I said smiling again.
“Friend with benefits?”
“No.” Now I was laughing.
“Incest brother?”
“No way. You know I don’t have siblings” I said.
“Guilty pleasure?”
“You can keep guessing but it will take you a while” I said, walking away. Drew ran up behind me.
“Hey wait up” he called.
“Is it like what we have?” he asked. What we have. What did we have? I didn’t know there was a “we” that ever existed between Drew and I. He was just my crush. That was it. No more, no less.
