Demon in the Woods (work in progress)

Chapter 1

"Hey Lilith you there?" Alfa poked his head in from the door. Lilith was packing up her things into a leather suitcase. "What is it Alfa?" Lilith closed up her suitcase and looked at Alfa. "Well...I think you might like to know that we're leaving in 5 minutes." said Alfa. "Already?!" Lilith was shocked that time passed that quickly. "Sorry...I'm so sorry I should have told you sooner that we were leaving!" Alfa was slowly walking away meanwhile facing Lilith. "Oh Alfa it's okay..." Lilith sighed, Alfa didn't have a lot of self-esteem or confidence in himself. "But-..." Alfa stammered. "Alfa everything is okay." said Lilith. "I just lost track of time so don't blame it on yourself." Lilith walked to Alfa and patted him on the head. Alfa slowly met her eyes. "I'm still sorry..." "As I said everything is okay." Lilith saw a car pull up at the entrance. "Well time to go." Lilith grabbed her suitcase and began heading downstairs. "Oh alright!" Alfa sprinted down the stairs. "Be careful-" Alfa tripped and fell face first on the floor before Lilith could finish her warning. "Oof...I'm alright!" Alfa got back up and sprinted to the door. "Last one out is a rotten egg!" Lilith shook her head, Alfa could be so weird at times. She followed Alfa out the door. The was a chilly morning, cold but not too cold. Lilith pulled her scarf closer to herself. Alfa was already in the car waiting patiently for Lilith. Lilith opened the truck and put her suitcase in then she opened the driver's seat and hopped in. She started up the car and started driving to their destination.
