Sunday and Monday

It was Sunday. I sleepily stood up. I turned on my phone and ten messages from the group chat where waiting in my inbox. Obviously, Autumn, Silver, and Dawn chatting about the dance. I turned my phone off and got back in my bed. I didn't know why I was so tired. Whatever.

I had mostly slept in on Sunday, I was totally ready for school. "Bye mom!" I said as I was stepping out the door. "Bye Lindsay!" My mother exclaimed. I met up with Dawn in front of the school. We stepped inside and followed our daily routine. At reading, instead of editing my blog, I just sat down and thought about who I would go with to the dance. At lunch, Dawn had to do extra work and stay in her class. Autumn and Silver where studying in the library, so I sat alone. I noticed a really cute guy. He had brown hair and hazel eyes. A voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Why are you sitting alone?" I sat up. A boy was standing next to me.

"Oh, my friends are doing extra work." I said glumly. He sat down and I rolled my eyes. "I'm new to the school." He said. I nodded. "You weren't here last week." I recalled. "So I see that you noticed Brad Hillside." He said. "Huh? What?!" I exclaimed. He pointed towards the guy I was staring at. "Oh. Um.." I started. The guy laughed. "It's just I don't have a date for the dance yet, and that Brad kid is pretty nice so.." I explained. He shrugged. "I'm not going to the dance." He said. "Why?" I asked. "I dunno." He stood up and smiled. "My name's Zach by the way." He said. "Lindsay." I replied. Then, he walked away.

I smiled. He was actually really nice. "Wait!" I ran after him. He turned around. "Yeah?" He replied. "Um... Wanna hang out this weekend?" I asked nervously. "Sure!" Zach replied. His green eyes looked almost blue now. I smiled and gave him my number, then we went separate ways again. I was happy! Maybe he would be the one to ask me to the dance after all! Then a troubling question popped into my mind. He said he wasn't going to the dance! I sighed. I would probably ask my friends later, for now I had to catch up with my blog!
