Anyway, this flashback was MockingjayDistrict's idea. It's how Luke fell for Lauren, and it's from Luke's point of view. Please tell me what you think, and if you have any ideas for the next teasers - I do flashbacks too! ;) I hope you like this!

I liked her as soon as I saw her. We were about three years old, but I remember that day so clearly.
Lauren's family had just moved to our neighbourhood. Lauren's mother found out that there were children around Lauren and Libby's age, and thought it would be a good idea for them to meet us.

Lauren looked so adorable. She was really shy. She didn't really want to come in at first. Libby and her mother came into the kitchen, but Lauren stayed in the hallway.
Her mother, Amelia, asked me if I would talk to her. I was shy too, but I agreed to.
She seemed scared of me. I tried to be as gentle as possible.
"Hi," I said softly. "I'm Luke." "I'm L-Lauren," she stuttered. "I hope you like the town." "I do," she whispered.

That's how we met. We played together almost every day from then on.
Libby never really liked me. She would play with Lydia, and Lina sometimes. But I didn't mind. I had Lauren, and that was all that matters to me. That's still all that matters to me.

So I had a crush on her from then on. As we got older, I began to like her for her personality too. I loved how she would always do anything with me, how she could cheer anyone up instantly, how cute she is when she's shy, and so many more reasons.

I think that when I realised that I'm in love with her for the first time was when we were thirteen.
We were at a party that one of my friends was having. Lauren didn't really want to come. She's still a bit shy, and she told me that she wouldn't know anyone apart from me. I promised that I wouldn't go off somewhere and leave her by herself. She seemed to believe me. Well, I was telling the truth. If Lauren didn't want me to leave, there's no way I would go.

Towards the end of the party, when there was only a few of us left, maybe about ten, someone suggested that we should play Truth or Dare. Most of us, including me, agreed instantly, but Lauren seemed a bit wary of it. But she agreed to play.

"Luke, truth or dare?" someone asked me. "Dare," I replied straight away. The person who asked me the question, I think his name was Danny, glanced around the circle that we were sitting in. "I dare you to kiss Lauren," he smirked.
My heart started racing. I'd wanted to do that since we were three, and now I finally had an excuse.
I turned to Lauren, who was sitting next to me. She was blushing. I've thought about why she was blushing for years, and I've come to the conclusion that it was because everyone was staring at her. Not that she likes me back.
I took a deep breath, looked right into her eyes, and kissed her. I'll remember that moment for as long as I live. It was amazing. Even better than I had expected.
When I pulled away, a few people were wolf-whistling. I glanced at Lauren, but she was looking away.

The game continued, but I wasn't really paying attention. I was too busy thinking about Lauren. I had just realised, when I was kissing her, that I was in love with her - and I still am. Even if it's unrequited, I think I will always love her.
