Yu-Gi-Oh!
Jeebus, where do I start with this one?So, when I was young, possibly I think around the age of six, I was introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh!. I had a blast playing it, (welp, actually it took me a bit to understand it WASN'T LIKE the Pokémon TCG), and watching the anime. In 2009, I was introduced to the newest Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. There was only one issue, with me being eight years old at the time, the anime was going too fast for me! I could not keep up with and understand the story line!
We then later, in 2011, got rid of cable, so I couldn't watch Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. After we lost cable and contact with Yu-Gi-Oh! animes, my brothers and I put away our decks, and would only have it linger as a memory.
Until this Spring.
This Spring, my eldest brother found a dueling site called "Dueling Network". This is where my ranting starts. Dueling Network is like Miiverse, it's a fun community, but you have about 35% dimwits. When I mean dimwits, I mean jerks, cheaters, idiots, etc. I mean they keep up with the rules, they have REAL PEOPLE who are admids, who calm the fights, aand boot the cheaters. One problem with them though, admids won't come to a duel for a bit, so sometimes you'll have a cheater cussing, assulting, bullying you! And you can't call the admid and be like "Hey, yo, that guy's being a dimwit." You have to wait like FOREVER!
Anyways, continuing on with this story, this early summer, I found LittleKuriboh, who does Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged. And my brothers and I got back into the Yu-Gi-Oh! fanbase.
In mid Summer, we started watching the English dub of all the Yu-Gi-Oh! animes, starting with the first episode (we're currently at GX). And I've noticed alot of things! The first season has you at the edge of your seat being "Oh boy, what's gunna happen next?" Then in season 2 it goes all downhill, too many friendship speeches! Too long of duels, I don't know if I noticed this when I was younger, but now realizing, the anime SUCKS. I mean I love 4kids soundtrack (exept when they try to rap), but they SUCK too!
In I think season five or six? When Yami, (or Atem) goes to ancient Egypt to learn his past, I liked how it was different and not so much cliché. BUT it was confusing and still had glob so many friendship speeches!
I can't say anything about GX because I'm still on season 1 with that.
That is my rant, I apologize if it seemed more like a story than a rant to you. I also apologize if you were expecting an outburst and this is a bit civil. Also, if this is too nerdy for you, so you didn't understand. Feel free to comment your feelings of this subject in the comments.
