After the meeting, do nothing more. Obviously, try to stay on your parents’ good side, but understand that the ball is now in their court. You have rationally made your case, and now you have to wait for their response. It shouldn't take too long.
The worst thing you can do at this point is demand that they give the phone back to you immediately. This would likely undermine your serious intent. Again, don’t get emotional.
Patience is called for at this point in the process. When the phone is returned to you, act casual. Don’t jump up and down with tears in your eyes claiming you will be perfect from now on.
Tell your parents two things at this time and two things only: Thank them, and then explain that you plan to show them that giving phone privileges back to you was a good decision on their part. That’s it.
By performing Part Three, you will show your parents that you deserve the trust they have extended to you.
