Demonstrate that Returning Your Phone Was Prudent
Your job is not finished just because the phone is back in your pocket. If you don’t want it taken away again, you are going to have to show your parents that you have changed your phone usage, corresponding to what you told them in the before steps above. Follow through.
Show your parents you understand what ownership means in this context. Remember, you may or may not be the owner of the cell phone. You do not pay the monthly bill unless you pay it out of your allowance. Recognize the status of the real owners, you and your parents.
Prioritize your parents’ calls. If you are talking to a friend on the phone, and you see your mother has made a call to you during the conversation, take your mother’s call and tell your friend you will call back later.
