The 'My School' Rant
My school is just a bad place with a bad name, full of bad people. It's honestly disgusting, and we don't learn anything at all. The teachers just tell us to go on our phones most of the time, and when we are actually being taught for once by a teacher that can actually teach, people constantly disrupt the lesson and yell at the teacher so that they can't teach us properly. It's just horrible, because unlike the other people in my school, I actually want to get a good education so that I can have a good job in the future. I sometimes think that I won't have a future because of the way my school is, and I'm kind of scared that might be true. I don't want to lose my future career just because of the way that my school is, because that would just be horrible.
Also, other awful things happen at my school too. Fights and serious accidents happen every day, and I think people have actually died at my school before. People attack teachers, people commit serious crimes and kids seriously hurt each other as well. It just never stops, and it's honestly terrible. School is supposed to be fun, and learning is supposed to be fun, but it really isn't when you have to go to a school like this. And when all of this happens, the teachers don't even care. They just act like it isn't even happening, and it's just disgusting.
But the main thing that the teachers at my school don't care about is the teaching, and the education of the students. The headteacher doesn't even care, and she's supposed to care the most. She always talks about how she want the school to get better in assemblies, yet she does nothing to try and change the state of the school. She says that it is entirely the student's fault that the school is the way it is, but it is also the fault of the teachers for not doing anything to change it. They know who the bad kids are, yet they don't even try to remove them from the school or take them out of lessons.
The bad kids don't even get punished properly for everything they do, because the teachers just don't care. They do get parked, which is where they are moved out of one classroom into another because of bad behaviour, but then they just cause trouble in the classroom they've been moved to. And they do get put in isolation as well sometimes, which is where they are taken out of all their lessons in that day to do their work in the pastoral mentor's office. But that's what they want, and people are bad on purpose to get into isolation because they don't want to go to their lessons. And because they're in isolation literally all the time, the pastoral mentors have got to know and love them, and they actually enjoy spending time with the bad kids. So it really doesn't help. If I could talk at school, I would probably be trying to improve the place, but since I can't, I just rant about it on the internet instead and try to get my opinions heard as much as I can.
Anyway, at my school, we don't learn anything at all. The work that we have to do is usually just things like colouring or making posters, which doesn't really teach you anything at all. I have to make so many posters at school in my lessons, and it's not like they even put them up anywhere. Also, when we do work, the teachers just put questions on the board and tell us the answers, and then they tell us to copy the answers down so it looks like we've done the work. It's just disgusting, because that is not learning at all. That actually happened in English the other day, and I wanted to do the questions myself, but the teacher just told everyone the answers and made us copy them down. I was really annoyed about that. And when we're not doing that, we're usually just told to play on our phones. In Maths a few weeks ago, everyone in the class kept disrupting the lesson, so the few good people in the class, including myself, were taken out of the classroom to work in another room with a teaching assistant. As soon as we got in the room, the teaching assistant literally got his phone out and played on it for the whole lesson. Then he told everyone that they didn't have to do work, and that they could play on their phones. That made me really angry, and I just got a textbook and completed some exercises from it, while everyone else was just on their phones. I was literally the only person working, and I didn't get any credit for it at all.
That's another thing that annoys me. At my school, when I'm the only one that does work, I get no credit for it at all, because the teachers agree with the other kids doing things like going on their phones. They completely ignore the fact that I'm actually doing something good, unlike everyone else, and nobody ever cares or recognises my work. Another annoying thing is that when I work really hard on a piece of homework and stay up late to finish it, and I hand it in, nobody else ever does the homework, and then the teacher says that we're allowed extra time to complete the homework because nobody has done it. That's just wrong. The teacher should give everyone in the class a detention apart from the people that have actually done the homework, because the people that didn't do it had not done as they were asked to do. It's not fair if they get away with it. And most of the time, the teachers at my school don't even collect homework in, which is also horrible, because I usually have to stay up late to do it.
Also, at my school, the teachers sometimes say such awful things about the kids at my school. They can insult them personally and make fun of them, and even though I don't like them, I wouldn't want anyone to have the things that the teachers say said to them. The teachers have actually told some of the kids at my school to kill themselves, which is disgusting, or that their parents are bad people, when they don't even know them. Even though the people at my school are horrible, they don't deserve to be told to kill themselves, because nobody deserves to take their own life. And even though people at school do have bad parents, teachers just shouldn't say things like that to them, because they don't have the right to tell them that. They're in a position of authority, and they should respect their students.
And hardly any of the teachers are proper teachers. Nearly all of them are just here until the summer holidays, and then they're going to leave. It's annoying that there are hardly any real teachers that can actually teach at my school, and the ones that can are driven away by the school's reputation and the way it is.
The school was supposed to be shut down a long time ago, and I wish it was, but it isn't because the school keeps telling everyone to pretend to behave when the inspectors are in school. Every time they come to school, there is always an assembly the day before where the deputy headteacher tells everyone about it, and then the whole school pretends that it is a good place for the next few days while they're there. It makes me really angry, because everyone plays along with it and does their work, and then as soon as the inspectors leave the room, everyone starts screaming and shouting and going on their phones. I really wish that the inspectors could see how the school really is, but everyone always behaves so the teachers didn't get caught. Before that, the school was put in special measures, and the time after that, they literally had to create a new rating because 'special measures' wasn't bad enough. That is how bad the school is.
Basically, my school is just awful, and I really don't know how nobody else sees how bad it is.

My stepsis does it constantly.
Also, joking is a way to cope with things. 9/11, people get depressed hearing it. I guess someone wanted people to not feel so guilty even though its not their fault.
