Transformation

Carrie walked over more towards Mira. " Robin come on meet this fine girl". Robin walked up to Mira just as Carrie did. " So hey, Mira right? We heard from our girl Kassandra that you knew her, and some guy that goes here. You know I'm having a party tonight to celebrate our freshman years' star wanna come"? Carrie happily asked. " I would but I have no clothes to really wear to a party". Mira said with a disappointed tone in her voice. "What dress size are you"? Asked Carrie. "I'm a seven" Mira replied in a flat tone. "Me too I have a party dress you can borrow, it's a short, but not too short light blue dress want it"? Carrie asked confidently. " Yeah thanks ". Mira replied. Mira had a strange feeling. She felt like she could trust Carrie. She had a feeling Carrie would be nothing but nice to her. Robin Mira wasn't sure of.
      "Robin don't just stare at her!" Carrie said loudly. "Well, um  you at the party...maybe. Robin rudely replied.  "Yeah alright" Mira replied just as rude. Right there made Mira angry once again. The world for once seemed inviting, but Mira wasn't prepared for harshness that is people, but she knew it well. Mira was starting to understand that not all people are bad, or untrustworthy, but that was a not-so friendly reminder that some people are. Mira decided to skip afternoon classes, and go back to her dorm. She wanted to change her look a bit. "Nobody here really knows who I am, so I can be whoever I want". Mira thought. That thought comforted Mira, and made her feel safe. Mira went into the bathroom, and saw Kassandra's hair curler, and makeup.
       "Hmmm...What if thought Mira. Mira used the hair curler, and put a little wave in her silky smooth, straight hair. Mira got out the makeup, and put some pale, red blush on, some black mascara, a little bit of red lip gloss, and some pale blue eye shadow. "Wow, I look pretty cool" Mira thought. Mira had never cared how she looked before, but now she cared more than ever. Mira had a lot of money her parents gave her, and they were going to send her some every month, so she planned to go shopping for clothes, and makeup soon. Mira then decided to go to the school's café. "Um, can I have a Pepsi, and a salad?" Mira said to the cashier there. Mira handed the cashier a 5 dollar bill, and took what she ordered.
        Mira sat down at a table there. The warm brown color of the café made her feel at peace. Until  Rick came, and sat down with her. Mira was silent for a moment. Suddenly Rick  broke the silence, and asked "Hey, are you going to Carrie's party tonight? I heard it's gonna be pretty great". "Yeah I'm going, I just met Carrie she's pretty nice". Mira shyly said. "Well, I heard you, and Carrie are like friends now, don't forget about me when you have a ton of friends, and everything". Rick playfully said. "That's one thing you don't have to worry about". Mira said in a flirty tone.
